snes4iphone 3.5.0 released
SNES emulator for the iPhone and iPod Touch
I have updated snes4iphone to v3.5.0 and made it available publicly on my repo/source that comes built-in to Cydia. There have been quite a few changes since the beta, and many since the last public release. This is the first public release of snes4iphone for 2.x.x firmwares.
Here’s what’s new:
- Updated interface. Includes File Browser, Recents, Save States, and Options.
- Loads more than 300 ROMs in a single directory without crashing due to timing out on program load.
- Improved the options set for the C-based interpreters. More games now run, and some run better such as Super Mario RPG.
- Better auto-frameskip.
- Fixed a a few controller bugs. Should react better.
- Worked on performance as much as I could. Still it’s best to play games without sound, for a very large performance increase.
- Added snesadvance SuperDAT speedhack support. It’s off by default as it can disable sound in some games. I haven’t seen much performance gain to warrant it being on default. It’s been fixed since the beta release and it’s an option now.
- Added an option for turning on and off transparencies to gain performance.
- Added a framerate counter option for debug purposes.
- Skins are back to being supported!
- More and more.

Pasofami 1.5q released
GameEx 9.87 released
Front End
GameEx now scans sub folders within a specified rom folder (AKA Roms in folders). In addition in order to clean things up slightly, offline list support has been removed (it didn't work anyway), and map files using the pipe seperator are no longer supported. The latter may break existing setups. The roms in folders is probably the oldest feature request for GameEx, so I hope that makes a few folks happy.
