Agozer Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 KAA has put out the 10th Anniversary Edition of Ninja Scroll... 900+MB, talk about quality.
Daeval Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Series: Cowboy Bebop hands down, Lain a close second, FLCL probably comes in a lagging third. As I watch it, Naruto is looking like it will end up on this list somewhere too. Movie: Tough one.. I like Knockin' on Heaven's Door, but mostly in relation to the series. I liked how the movie went out of its way to portray the everyday people of Cowboy Bebop's solar system as a whole (right from the opening sequence), while the series tended to focus only on the particular characters. That gave it a little more edge than the usual "really long episode" plots of series-turned-movies (although aside from what's mentioned, that's basically what it was). Other than that, I don't know. I'm tempted to say Princess Mononoke, but I know that probably doesn't belong in this spot for me. I've actually never seen Spriggan, Ninja Scroll, or Akira in their entirety, and I didn't like Ghost in the Shell very much at all.
Agozer Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 and I didn't like Ghost in the Shell very much at all.Probably because the movie contains so much philosophical questions and alot of talk, rather than non-stop action.

Notice that Lain is second on my list for doing that kind of thing in a way that I appreciated more. Edited October 27, 2004 by Daeval
Agozer Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I've yet to check out Serial Experiments Lain, but from what I've heard, it's pretty damn good. I've been getting my doze of ecchi, comedy and parody almost exclusively lately.
Adel151 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 favorite series cowboy bebop and wolfs rain favorite movie blue submarine no 6 cartoon network... cant live without it
Skythe Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I totally forgot about Spriggan. And I never liked Lain.
kefka Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 FLCL and uh... I don't know. Kill Bill, perhaps. There's other movies/animes that could be my favorites, but I need to see them. Lain/Naruto/One Piece/Ranma, and then Suicide Circle/Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Hmmm.
OverlordMondo Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Oh man, that's a hard decision. FLCL and LAIN were both so awesome... And the Legend of Black Heaven looks incredible at least, I wish I had it... But movie is obvious, it's gotta be La Blue Girl. I can't think of any better anime movie out there.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> La Blue Girl?!? You are into tentacles?!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Lol, yeah. I love tentacles. Especially the censored type. It's just hilarious to watch these things. They're al "Omg, I'm going to come!" "Oh wait! Sex magic!" lol.
