Wizard Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 My mistake, I haven't played MK2 in such a long time. He says Toasty mostly after uppercuts in MK2, but the last 2 arcade versions of MK2, he was harder to get >_< Gotta love Toasty! at random times sometimes. It just rules

StriderSkorpion Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Cominus, I believe you're talking about MK3 not MK2. Anyways, it's really easy to fight Reptile on the console (Genesis, at least) with the cheats. The DULLARD code was the only real way to make sure you got shadows in front of the moon, plus you could set the enemies health to "Danger."
Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted April 26, 2004 Author Posted April 26, 2004 Mk1: to fight reptile(which had scorpion's moves in the first round andsubzero's in the second) you have to win 2 rounds perfect in a row andmake sure there are witch/santaclaus/cow shadows flying over the moontheir appearance is totally random, sometimes they will appear duringthat match and sometimes not; also you have to finish yer opponentthrowing him/her to the spikes(liu kang's bicycle upercut fatality also counts)reptile is very fast and you fight him down where the spikes are; Mk2: to fight jade u must use only low kicks/punches in the matchjade is green and has kitana's moves;u fight her in goro's lair; she is very fast and fights a little different than kitana;to fight smoke u must press start during the face popup in the portal arena where the 2 floating monks are; imediately u will fight smokeand the prezent round will not count;(this is crap cuz it works even in 2 player mode and the guy was losing and got away fighting smoke, even if they got their ass kicked real hard; smoke has scorpion's moves and is real fast like jade and plays a little different than the normal scorpion;to fight noob saibot u must must have over 150 wins(alot); the crap isthat he is exactly like smoke with scorp's only a little faster than smoke(omg); To play Pong u have to have 250 wins in a row(hell, I think no one had that kinda coin in their pocket;Before Jade/Smoke/Noob u get this message in the portal arena:"Congratulations! You have discovered a secret fighter from Mortal Kombat 1" You will now be transported to Goro's Lair!" Mk3: Cyborg Smoke is the secret char but i forgot how to get him or fight him, cuz I played Mk3 4 the first time one week before MkT hit the stores where c.smoke was a playable char; MkT: Chameleon is the only secret char, but i forgot how to get him alsosince he's just a flashing ninja that changes color randomly and has the specific color's moves: Subzero1/Scorpion/Ermac/Reptile/Rain/Noob
Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted April 26, 2004 Author Posted April 26, 2004 and yes I was a Mortal Kombat phreak, I still know most of the finishersand (omg) even brutalities, I have played MK5 on both PS2 and GBA, but i think Midway should stop here;

Mortal Kombat VI aka Mortal Kombat: Deception Seeing pics and renders. MY GOD, The game looks beautiful. And Millenia = RAWR, Besides her mouth O_o. Just some comfirmed characters; Noob SaibotErmac Sub-Zero (looks older now)ScorpionBaraka / Baraka look alike (Canon wise, his dead, unless like they braught him back to life O_o, why is he back is beyond me)MilleniaNightwolfSindelKabal (FSCK YES! RETURN OF KABAL! Canon wise, Mavado "killed" him and took his hookswords, since he already looked dead. Mavado didn't completely kill him , Comfirmed by Tobais him self)Smoke (Cyber or human? Canon wise, he's a cyborg)Tanya (Comfirmed by Tobais)Kira (Some new character, the concept art of her is hot)Ashrah (New character, possibly Raiden's successor as Earth Realm gaurdian)Hotaru (see his concept arts in MKDA)KenshiSkab (also new, something like that demon dude in MKDA)Lui-Kang (he is back, but is it really him? also Comfirmed by Tobais)

StriderSkorpion Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 The N64 version of MKT also had a chamelion character. Her name was Khamelion and she would switch between the "female ninjas." The code for Human Smoke is the same on the N64 MKT, IIRC. You don't have to know your opponent into the pit to fight Reptile in MK1, you just had to do a fatality with a double flawless victory and shadows in front of the moon. I don't know about the arcade version (haven't played it in a while), but on the Genesis version, Reptile (a.ka. "Scorpion" ) could use both Scorpion and Sub-Zero's moves in any round. There was a Kombat Kode in MK3 that allowed the winner of the match to fight Smoke and there was one to fight Noob Saibot (a shadow version of Kano with a Scorpion spear). To unlock Smoke on the arcade, you had to enter the extended Kombat Kode that you got after finishing the game/losing. The same was true for unlocking Classic Sub-Zero, Ermac, and Millena in UMK3. To unlock Smoke on the Genesis and SNES, you needed to enter button cheats either before the main menu or at the main menu (Genesis had two ways to unlock him, IIRC).
Weirdy Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 I don't memmer Noob Saibot being able to do a Scorpion spear on MK3...all I memmer was him being a projectile-less character
StriderSkorpion Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 He's there with Scorpion's spear. In UMK3, they remade him. He's identical to his MKT version (at least in the Genesis and SNES UMK3). I don't know why they have the graphics for Scorpion's spear but no Scorpion. At least they got wise a did UMK3. Noob was real cheap in UMK3/MKT because he could do a smoke "fireball" that disabled your opponent from being able to attack you. That coupled with the easy combos, you could beat the game no sweat. That's how I used to do it.

StriderSkorpion Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Who, Noob or Human Smoke? Noob had an ending on the Genesis/SNES version and, AFAIK, you couldn't play as him at the arcades and only with a Gameshark/Pro Action Replay for the Saturn version. I haven't beaten UMK3 with Human Smoke, so I don't know if he had an ending or not. Funny thing about Noob's ending is that it led into MK4 (it talks about Shinnok coming in to take control). I think they were working on Sub-Zero Mythologies at the time, though.
