Gryph Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 I wish I was found this stick earlier when I got back into emulation...and before I found my Sidewinder. I've been playing less and less of fighting games and more Civ III and UT2K4. I'll get this stick when there is an emulation break through (ie Dreamcast emulation). And I'll try to get a X-Arcade stick to support this site.
Gryph Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 GryphonKlaw come play UT2K4 online with me....I'm on dial-up. And the game doesn't run too well either. /me shoots myself in the head
Gryph Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 ....dude you have to get a faster connection....My parents are cheap bastards. And I'm at school right now. And I won't be playing games this week; too much crap to do. I also need to upgrade my PC, but I'll wait till HL2, Doom III, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and DNF come out for that.
Wizard Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Meh...that stick is nothing...If you want a great stick pick up a Namco Arcade Stick it is considered one of the best Arcade Sticks by the best VF4 players.... I picked one up for AUD$20.....Actually, alot of people compain about Namco's sticks of not being always reposive. Take it like, SVCC, but worse.
Gryph Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 I've never seen a ball joystick here in the US...all we have is the bat kind. Is there an advantage to the ball?
Agozer Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 I've never seen a ball joystick here in the US...all we have is the bat kind. Is there an advantage to the ball?Possible similar to a TrackBall. It's easier on the wrist.
OverlordMondo Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Bat? Ball?I'm confused. I don't play many fighting games, but I want to start. Maybe I'll pick one of these things for the PS2.(Or that other thing if it gets the site 20 bucks.)
solidius23 Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 GryphonKlaw come play UT2K4 online with me....ill play with ya online sometime pm when ya wanna play

Maybe I'll pick one of these things for the PS2.(Or that other thing if it gets the site 20 bucks.)The shape of the actual joystick. Check that picture that ForceX posted. Notice how the top is a ball instead of the normal X-Arcade "bat" style. That's what I was wondering.
ForceX Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 GryphonKlaw come play UT2K4 online with me....ill play with ya online sometime pm when ya wanna play When I go home tonight we'll play.... Also K'Dash...I have never heard anyone call the Namco Arcade Stick unresponsive...I actually find the complete opposite..
Shibathedog Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 ok tell me if it works well, if it does, im buying MAJOR painting and custimization opportunities with this
Weirdy Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I like the fighting stick that Garageink first showed us...a bit better. Seriously, the namco arcade stick..is...ok, if you're playing Capcom games, but the first one was a really good balance of Neogeo and Capcom
veristic Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 (edited) What about x-arcade? Has anyone mentioned this one? My friend has the one with 2 joysticks n it's great, has compatibility with all systems, except it slides around since a nice makeshift stand is hard to come by, still it works great.
