I love emo music, but it hurts me when I see people where those stupid coke bottle glasses just because Rivers Cuomo does. He's River Cuomo, he can do it and get away with it, not you you stupid pseudo-depressed psychology major. People accuse me of being an emo guy because I wear glasses with black rims. Oh that's so emo And I own like 3 shirts like Rivers because he's just so cool and they were cheap (Goodwill for life!) And also because one of my favorite bands is Weezer. Not because they're EMO, but because they're damn good. There's a huge AzN scene around here, but I've never seen those AzN EMO posers you talk about. They were all talking like thugs and I cracked one joke not really trying to offend anyone and then they were all like "Yo, you is a beeeitch. Lucky someone doesn't come in your parkinglot and do a drivebye on you!". It was some comedy...

I love Weezer, but I hate the rest of the emo-scene. Some of the music is good, but none of it is really bad though. Just not that great. I also hate it mostly because it's filled with poseurs and "I'm so cool because I wear thick glasses and trendy clothes, love me please" kind of people. Emo is basically rock music, but usually pussifeid punk rock, that is emotional (hence EMO) and all lovey-dovey. But EMO is better than new age punk bands, that's for sure. Weezer pioneered the emo style because they were the first most famous emo group, but they seem to be drifting away from it with each subsequent album. And there's Fugazi...but you know, my theory about them is that anyone who states that they love Fugazi is full of crap.
