Carnicero Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 (edited) The most common practice is to use both Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search & Destroy. Adware scanners tend to miss some things. Whatever Ad-Aware misses, Spybot picks up and vice versa. Edited January 21, 2004 by Carnicero

If either of them do realtime scanning (like an antivirus would) I'd just pick one to always run. What I do is just run one then run the other every couple weeks or when things act fishy, indicating spyware lurking around on my system. Edited January 22, 2004 by Carnicero

For me, I want my homepage to be www.google.com, and -=whatever=- keeps changing it to www.searchwww.com or something like that. Edit: Actually, on the subject of spyware, I have been getting some WEIRD junkmails lately.
