fumanchu Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 A600 is at it again, this time with a port of neoraine a neogeo cd emulator for xbox. info.xNeoRaine 1.2.11 ported by A600 This is a port for the Xbox1 of NeoRaine, the best Neo Geo CD emulator out there, coded by Emmanuel Anne (Tux) (if you like the emu, consider donating to him as a way of saying thanks for his hard work) and possible thanks to the SDLx libs by lantus. For more info about NeoRaine, check herehttp://rainemu.swishparty.co.uk/html/download/neoraine.html DOWNLOAD LINK.http://www.fileserve.com/file/YtHN7cq ORhttp://www.zshare.net/download/88949562cf69e4af/ Thanks go to A600 for this and all his great work he has done lately. I have been hoping for an updated NEOGEO CD emulator on xbox for years, and its great releasing this right after the ScummVm port, wasn't expecting this at all, amazing work! Whats next 3DO, Jaguar!? fumanchu Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 yeah its really great to see some new ports for the xbox,A600 is doing a great job.
PhilExile Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Ha, I own a real 3DO - believe, not many good games on it. Jaguar would be awesome though - especially for the CD-based games since those units are expensive and hard to come by in working order. It looks like they are working on a 2.0.0 release of Virtual Jaguar, which is also SDL. Check it out: http://icculus.org/virtualjaguar/ Maybe that one would be a good one for A600 to do if he could get in touch with the authors? This is fantastic! thank you very much. fumanchu Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 added a link to my first post to download the neogeo cd bios file which is not included in the emulator.
elconejotres Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 A NEC PC98 emulator would be awesome as well don't you think guys? perhaps a PC-FX one? wonder if the xbox can handle that, thanx Fu and thanks A600 for the updates
PhilExile Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I think that A600 is mainly interested in ported emus/games which use SDL. (This is just a guess based on what he has released thus far) Here is a link to a partially up-to-date Wiki page regarding SDL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_using_SDL Of note from the Wiki: Arcade and game-console emulators which use SDL * DGen – an emulator for Sega Genesis (Mega Drive).* FCE Ultra – an emulator of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the Famicom Disk System.* Gens – a Sega Genesis emulator.* Hatari – an emulator of the Atari ST computer system.* MAME – SDLMAME is an SDL-based port of MAME (MAME is an "Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator" emulator).* Mednafen – multi-system emulator supporting Atari Lynx, Game Boy (including Color and Advance revisions), Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), PC Engine, SuperGrafx, PC-FX, WonderSwan, and WonderSwan Color.* Mupen64 – Mupen64 (Multi Platform Emulator for the N64) is an emulator for the Nintendo 64.* NeoCD – a Neo Geo CD emulator.* Stella – an emulator for the Atari 2600.* VisualBoyAdvance (VBA) – emulator for the Game Boy, Super Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance handheld game consoles sold by Nintendo.* Yabause – an emulator for the Sega Saturn.* ZSNES – an emulator of the Super Famicom and SNES video game systems.

PhilExile Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Ya, but even on an upgraded XBOX - that'd run slow. (I think) I'm actually interested in that Jaguar SDL emu. That's a better system than people realize. (Not great, but definitely some good games on there)
