PhilExile Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hey BP, Just curious, what were the virtual memory issues with CPS2 games? Can't wait to try the new build! Hopefully tonight. Talk soon
rdtorrents Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) no where in the FAQ Can i see how to add games that have been HomeBrewed for Xbox... how/where do i add them? Also you mentioned SMB...can i network the roms think i have the idea......i think.... do i have to use the shortcut maker for each individual homebrew game??? EDIT : The FAQ/Readme.... Call me a total noob if you like (lol i feel like i am right now) but it doesn't really explain what you have to do, well it does if your familiar with it and as i am not i am clueless. But anyway i will persevere and try to figure it out all i achieved so far is a shortcut to resetting the XBOX Edited January 25, 2011 by rdtorrents

baa Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Thanks for R2, great job!!! My future request for Epic R3:In game keymapping and service mode for games (when CPS2 core is enable).
rdtorrents Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) still cant figure out how to add the homebrew games... A 'how to in steps' structure would be nice instead of cryptic crap, soz dude i love your work but im sick of guessing now 'how to in steps' 1) you do this2) you do that3) put this there and that here4) yay game added that kind of thing Edited January 25, 2011 by rdtorrents
godzizzle Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Thanks for R2, great job!!! My future request for Epic R3:In game keymapping and service mode for games (when CPS2 core is enable). Isn't in game keymapping what he just added?
godzizzle Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Your problem is that you put the xbe in the roms folder, it belongs in the CoinOPS root folder. The directions are straightforward.
rdtorrents Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) EDIT SUCCESS Ah was doing it right then(for the most part), so perhaps they are straight forward. But to a total and utter noob...... Edited January 25, 2011 by rdtorrents
godzizzle Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I was playing Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, saved my game (in game, not via save state), and when I came to play it again later the save was gone. Are console in game saves not supported? (In other words, is using a save state my only option for saving the game?)
rdtorrents Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 is it possible to SMB games. I have as softmodded xbox downstairs and my mate would like to have coinops running on it and games streaming from up here
BritneysPAIRS Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 please read the forum...the answer is yes...to smb on most stuff I thought saving was happening can you test a snes and see if its happening...I only tested Megadrive and SNES and that was before I reopened all the coresIf they arnt ill fix it in R3 Retested SNES and its working it saves all your saves I need this tested for all cores and also are all the mapping things all good.... Im fast working on all console stuff and want to tidy it...stuff like the blackbackground for keymap is fixed
BritneysPAIRS Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 keymap screen now looks like resize screen....faded game in the background
BritneysPAIRS Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Linked coinops aspect ratio to the cores.......I need help to put in pixel perfect...if none come soon ill just do aspect ratio correction for now
BritneysPAIRS Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 New Settings in CoinOPS Consoles Use Correct Aspect Ratio ENABLE Disable (if enabled screenresizing is disabled and console screensize is aspect correct for you) Linked Keymap to the CoinOPS setting to disable keymapping...so by default you cant adjust the keymap for console just like arcades Made the remapping screens look much better with the game showing in the background like the screensize adjustment page
BritneysPAIRS Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 ill finish this stuff up and then ill port this stuff into the final burn core so its linked and consistant...this is the plan for R3(finish console stuff) and R4(port keymap, aspect correct and screensizing the same as consoles into the Final Burn Core).....it should give people most features they have asked for and seemless in CoinOPS without over cluttering the GUI
