I'm sick and tired of using plastic shavers. Sometimes I have to throw one out midway into my shaving regimen. It gets annoying and it takes forever with them.

It's time for me to buy a decent electric shaver under $70. I've been looking at the Braun Series 3 shavers, which seem to do a great job. Are there any others you guys can recommend?

I still find the norelco 8020/x to be great for close shaves as its much smoother and you won't feel like their's a porcupine attached to your face.

There's no such thing as a decent electric shaver no matter how much you pay. Nothing beats a wet shave.

some day I'd like to shave with a straight razor

fuckers are expensive though (but probably worth it if they last)

QFT - I own THREE, 2 foil shavers and one of those 3 disc Philishaves. Every electric shaver is a POS, they only work well on peach fuzz and the commercials LIE.

Protip - Do most of your shaving in the shower, don't need shaving cream and it works better. Shave the rest at the sink when done (Sideburns etc)

I use a Remington but it got discontinued so you can't buy refills anymore. I guess I am in the market for a new one as well. It's one of those rotary fancy titanium things. Although honestly I liked my old school electric razor I had before that better (the straight bar kind), that one was a Braun.

If you use an electric razor the best thing to use is baby powder. It will make the razor glide over your face sooooo easy. Although I usually forget to use it lol.

I don't use electric either... I use a Schick Quattro. As the fellas say, you can't beat a razor. What you caaaaan do is get a straight razor... but don't fuck up... lol. Yea a razor sharp blade cannot be beat. You must have a beast face to have such trouble. Why do you throw them away exactly???

My electric does fine a phillips or phillashaver does the trick everytime but if i leave it too long it just yanks my hair out of my skin and it hurts.

i use the Gillette Fusion, its hand down the best shave short of me going to the barber and having em use a straight razor on my face

I've never had any luck with an electric razor either. and I have had a few, from $30 norelco to $130 Braun. they just don't work well. I also find that the more blades the easier it gets clogged. I stay away from the quattro and 3 blade razors. 2 blad disposables do fine. for me the ultimate home shave is an old school double edge razor in a heavy handle.

hot shaving cream applied with a brush is nice too.

I suggest every man go to a real barber shop and get a straight razor shave at least once in their lives. The works with hot steaming towel on the face and a razor honed on a leather strap.

Isn't that the dildo razor? (The one that vibrates)

i think they have one that does vibrate, but mine does not, it has 4 blades (5 if you count the one at the tip used to line up sideburns, beard ect) when used with shaving cream it doesn't really clog up, and its a VERY close shave (sometimes i can go 2 days without 5 o clock shadow

i cant even use 2 blade disposables because they shave never gets close enough, and i end up with razor bumps no matter what

I've used a Mach 3 since I started shaving. I tried a Braun electric coz I thought it might be quicker and easier, but it only works on very short growth and I always end up finishing with the Mach 3 anyway.
