Trig Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 MIDWAY DRIVERS OFCOURSE!!! lol so we can FINALLY enjoy ALL the MK games with sound and perfect frame rate! I took at shot at getting the midtunit games (MK*, NBAJAM) running in the the MAMEdOx 1.1 codebase (still .84 like CoinOPS) but didn't have any luck. I attempted to reintroduce the .72 dcs speed hack into the .84 driver but that resulted in lockups. Next, I built two versions of the MAME library, one for .72 and one for .84; each using the .84 MAMEoX Xbox specific code. I was able to the point where it loaded all the roms within the .72 core, but it would lock up after that. My guess is that something changed in the osd_* routines. Real life and lack of a debug Xbox got in the way of further progress.

Currently on my way to do a compilation based on these games and others to test on CoinOPS, just to see how a certain idea fits on 1 dvd, and also to see what's happening on certain games mentioned here, like US Championship VBall, WPH and others, running trough most of them. RL and PC not being so good have slowed progress here. +_+
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 ill keep an eye on this soon.... would like a spreadsheet though. Also need DJ boy, Galaxy Force 2 added
Cospefogo Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 BP my man...*PLEASE*: Make the CPU Overclock option keys able to remap!!! I mean: To be able to change BACK+RIGHT THUMB to something else...Remember, arcade sticks does not have the THUMB buttons! Cheers,Cospefogo.
1stmoon Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Street Fighter the Movie was awfully slow the last time i checked. I realize there's a perfectly playable version on PCSXbox, but its a completely neutered port with lotsa missing frames (and more importantly it doesn't have the funny American voices).
Enkak Posted April 3, 2009 Author Posted April 3, 2009 ill keep an eye on this soon.... would like a spreadsheet though. Also need DJ boy, Galaxy Force 2 added Added those games to the topic. A spreadsheet later is a good idea, if anyone is up to the task. I started with some games sugestions and drivers, going now for fixs and ideas like some already mentioned by people here and other topics. PS: Welcome back.
Trig Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Use link below to get dcs.c with the speed hack added back in. Sounds works, but the emulation is still really slow. FWIW: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CG5T9MB8
neoryu Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I woluld LOVE to see these added to reignite: Cotton: Magical Night Dreams Turbo OutrunKnights of Valour 2All 3 Double Dragons optimizedGolden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder updated The emu is fantastic, but these would put ReIgnite over the top for me.
Antiriad Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Im delighted so many people have suggested Buggy Boy, this was a favourite of mine on the Atari ST & Amiga. Would it be possible to fix the minor gfx glitches on Afterburner II? Specifically the hand and the intro sequence. I know a later driver release sorted this, but it wouldnt be worth it if it impedes performance.
(H2K)-xXx Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Pls fix Cabal and add Cabal (bootleg) = cabalbl.zipIt has 3 Buttons instead of 2 in "normal" Cabal. You can roll with the third button and avoid enemy shots. cabalblDriver: cabal.cfixed in: ~ 126u1

Makes the game more enjoyable and it was the version i played at the arcades too at the time.
mirsad Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 How about Big Fight - Tatsumi (1992) Fighters History - Data East (1993)

First plug a xbox pad, enable "gamepad defaults can be remapped" in advanced settings, then ingame: Remap the "onscreen display" function the way you want. That's all friend. Another game suggestion Vamp 1/2 released as playable in mame 0.87Beat'em up with Manga Style characters.(vamphalf.zip : same zip from 0.87 - 0.128 version, changed from 0.129)source: vamphalf.c Edited April 10, 2009 by stf

Is it already there? Really? Are you sure?WONDERFUL. I did think it was not present on the current releases... I was looking for something like "OverClock Options", "InGame Sound Options" and things like that. So it is hidden under the name of "OnScreen Display"!Super, man! Thanks for pointing the correct direction.I will check it later today. By the way, do you know why I want to make use of this option? With it is possible to modify - on the fly - the sound volume for several channels of a game. Specifically I want to use this settings on BadDudesVsDragonNinja, GoldenAxe, Shinobi and few others. Those games have wonderful music soundtracks but the voices and sound FX are damn too high! BadDudes specially has really noisy voices... and Golden Axe's foes shout crazy "Oooh My God" words all the time. If I turn up the surround sound volume too much to be able to listen better to the games soundtracks my wife will request a divorce! She hates the "Aaarghs", "Ouccchs", "Banngs" and "Clangs" of most of the games. Ha ha ha ha ha! Thanks again!Cospefogo.
