Mortal Kombat Anthology

I'm thinking of either upgrading my MKP 4.3 to MKP 4.7 or MK Anthology. Has anyone played either of them? Which one do you recommend?

I have MKA for the Xbox, it's probably worth it because some of the bugs are fixed, and there are many characters and stages that have been added.

Ok, ive downloaded mkanthology how would i add it to my xmugen and how do i even add characters and stages etc. . . the Xmugen site is down

BPisagod, check the youtube link. It's got RS links in "more info". That's all you need all predone. Just xfer to e:\games or f:\games

 

Edit: Just got it. It looks like a PC version. Ask BPisagod for hints on where to get MKP for xbox. Copy that to your e:\games or f:\games. Then copy over MKA, overwriting existing directories.

Damnit. It doesn't work

 

Can't FTP most of the files over because file names don't comply with FATX. And I can't just rename them because then whats specified in the def files won't match up anymore. Plus i'm too lazy to do anything myself. Anyone have any leads or hints on an Xbox friendly MKA?

you could try burning it to a cd/dvd and then use xbmc to copy over the files.if anything is over 41 characters which fatx dosent like then xbmc shortens the file-names.

you should maybe read further in the link coz im sure someone has the same problem and their is a fix for it.

I think you meant Mortal Kombat Trilogy. MK Anthology wasn't an official release, I think it was some sort of fan made PS2 release. To play MK 1/2/3 on Xbox all you need is the 3 arcade roms and either Mame 0.72 or Mame b6 (can't remember which). Fumanchu would be able to tell you which emu it is that plays them.

MK Anthology is also a customized Xmugen release. For perfect MK 1/2/3 you want to get Mortal Kombat Classic. I think someone in this forums PM'd it to me. This MK 1/2/3 was ripped from MK Armageddon for Xbox and someone made a custom launcher for it for each game.

If you want to go with roms then get (MAMEoX_v0.72.1b) plays good with sound!
