BritneysPAIRS Posted April 5, 2008 Author Posted April 5, 2008 Ok the old saves are in the nvram folder and are the .sta files just looking at the source now enjoy
RastanX Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 (edited) I've grabbed CoinOPS standalone version without roms (thanks hellsfury) and just to be sure that my romset is fine I would need a clrmame or romcenter datfile to check against my rom files. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts. Edited April 5, 2008 by RastanX
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 6, 2008 Author Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) I need to know if anyone wants settings back or if they want classics sort mode gone its been mentioned if there is support for it ill patch it out or if there is a better way to do this stuff let me know also do people want a stripped xbe to save 20megs like others are doing or do they want to be able to scan in any games they want for themselves without 2/3 being killed off Edited April 6, 2008 by BritneysPAIRS
dr99 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 i like it better without the classic sort mode because it gets confusing when trying to find games. would it be possible to support the neogeo autobios?
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 6, 2008 Author Posted April 6, 2008 Maybe I can remove the classic sort method and make the classic roms nearly white but a little yellow... they will Be solid yellow if a fav any thoughts on this?

Norkusa Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 (edited) Thanks a lot for creating this. I picked it up at Xbox-Sky over the weekend and am loving it! Got a question though. Are state saves possible in this? I saw something in the settings about creating a memory card but I couldn't figure out how to use it. Also, USB mouse/tracballs aren't supported in CoinOPS, are they? Edited April 8, 2008 by Norkusa
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 save states are in but a bit buggy on some games..... while playing a game Load State - BACK, Right Analog button, and Left triggerSave State - BACK, Right Analog button, and Right trigger USB mouse and trackball isnt supported sorry

To put it into perspective a bit, only 120MB of the 4.4gigs is BP's work. Actually a lot less than that, but the vast majority of the package is roms which can be easily acquired elsewhere. No offence to BP of course. I seeded to around 6.5 gigs personally but that's how it goes. It's a shame to see so many hit'n'runners though.
RMM Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I need to know if anyone wants settings back or if they want classics sort mode gone its been mentioned if there is support for it ill patch it out or if there is a better way to do this stuff let me know I would think some type of settings screen would be helpful to everyone. You could also add an option to turn free play/unlimited credits off or on since some people are complaining about free play. That way people can choose if they want it off or on and everyone is happy. Also, maybe you can have an option in your settings menu as to what button combos would bring up an in game menu. On the in game menu you could have options to save the game, load a game, return to game, return to games list or return to dashboard. The button combo you use to get to this in game menu would be determined by what the user selected in the expanded settings menu. Either right thumbstick, back + start or perhaps just the start button by itslef like many of the old consoles used.
RMM Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 One other thing. From my viewpoint I dont think the opening CoinOPS screen is needed. You have the title of "CoinOPS" and a note at the bottom saying "press any button" My question is why not just have CoinOPS start at the games screen instead of having to push a button to get to it.
