kof98 ultimate match!

i see theres gonna be an update of kof98 for theps2,anyone getting this?

all new 3d backgrounds and that classic kof 98 gameplay,feels like a winner to me.

Its coming out in January.

 

However, it is not the same as KOF94Rebout- no 3d backgrounds, no high res sprites. Just tweaked gameplay with Geese, Krauser and Big. I'm pretty sure?

over at neogeoforlife their saying its gonna have 3d backgrounds,dunno about high res sprites though!

ive got 3 different versions of kof98 on different systems,is it really worth getting a ps2 update?

Depends on how much you like KOF98 I suppose. The changes don't appear all that extensive.

well your probably right 98 is meant to the best kof,apparently theres an arcade coming as well using the ps2 version as the base!

Word on the street is arcade version and the PS2 version got pushed back to Winter 08 citing Balance issues. Which means we might see the arc version first.

it was anounced for 360 just a couple of months into the develpment of the ps2 title.

I dunno I have the rom, Dreamcast port and I have a AES cart for this. I mean the snk titles nowa days are pretty cheap so maybe...I do love me some kof 98>.<

They held a test last month for balancing added characters and rebalancing the older ones.

According to Gamefaqs Jap ver will be out 26 of june its the US ver that is pushed back to xmas 08.

 

So I don't know if Gamefaqs is misinfo or they gonna release two ver in Jap with and without balance issues.

I saw a few videos at You tube,,, and saw a Japanese guy showing the playgame system... and saw the bosses you mentioned before. It just look modern
