Doesnt really matter, the japanese never liked the xbox to begin with. They're more rpg people than FPS. It's not any different from what happened to the original xbox compared to the ps2, the japanese people are loyal to thier shyt, plain said.

The reason XBOX failed is because it had crap games for the Japanese market, not because of Japanese loyalty.

Blue Dragon just came out and the influx of 360s sold just went up by 1000 due to preorders. The japanese finally have their must have game. I think it got 37/40 on famitsu.

Not according to the last week's japanese sale update. Although Wii knocked DSLite with 300,000+ units sold (DSlite was 230,000~ish), knocking it into 2nd place after 8 weeks of total domination of the market.

Xbox failes in Japan because people in Japan want more than FPS games.

 

At least with the original Xbox i found myself saying that the main use for it was pretty much FPS games, there wasnt much else worth playing on it. 360 will probably go the same way, or at least for a little while.

 

but hey i like FPS games so it doesnt bother me too much. Although i did just rent that Godfather game on 360 and its alot better than i thought it would be

Ive tried the other way around (PS2 to XBOX) and it isnt that bad. The buttons on the xbox are more pressure sensetive than the PS2 so expect to press the buttons a bit more harder expecially the R and L buttons since the xbox controllers have triggers instead of buttons, but besdies that its a good accesory, the button timing is perfect and there is a switch for steering wheel mode on the one i have which is made by INNOVATION.
