infernoDS
So... You buy games as well don't you? I do agree that if they'd put a browser for the full price in the shops I'd be a bit disappointed.
Pointless
i was going to start a html parser and a renderer, but... i'll just wait for opera xD But then you have to buy it!!!<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Edited February 16, 2006 by Pointless
davos1
No! I've already spwnt alot of money running homebrew on my ds. Also sgstair has spent alot of time to build a TCP library for the ds and now it will go to waste when everyone gets the opera crap!

Not sure if I'm willing to spend money on it - have to first see how it's going to look like and what the final price is. Otherwise, there's lots of room for homebrew wifi applications - no official instant messenger apps, irc clients, email clients etc. have been announced. And not to mention having multiplayer possibility also for homebrew games.
captain_duck
Its not like sgstair did all his work just so someone could make a browser. Hell no its for tons of things like internet playable homebrew games, or internet chat, and those remote access programs (or he just did it for the bounty ) And about buying it, well. The browser will most likely be released on a normal cart just like a game. And so it will probably dumped as a rom the day it comes out.
BlueBlue
Well, it is also supposed to come with additional memory for the gba slot.
Warlord698
that would have to be a big must, watch somebody patch after it comes out where you can use a GBAMP or whatever for the mem after that up to 8GB of space Edited February 17, 2006 by Warlord698
davos1
But I think the Opera browser will be crap!
Warlord698
though it's better than nothing isn't it God knows I would die to have Firefox on it instead
captain_duck
The opera browser will rock. Opera has allways been just as good, if not better then firefox, and they have MUCH more experience programming for small-display devices like telephones and PDA's. Were really lucky that opera is building the browser
Warlord698
yet since firefox has all the USER made plug-ins you can personalize to limitless proportions with a great variety of options Edited February 18, 2006 by Warlord698
