A_M Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Hmm the screen just stays on waiting. I don't have any encryption on and I'm pretty sure I have all the info correct. Any help would be much appreciated because I want to get this (probably) amazing app to work
mrNinya Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Wow, really wonderful application. Can't wait to see where it'll end up. Now if only you could stream audio from the PC with the DS.
greyfox123 Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 who cares ? lol let the man name his own app
Sintax Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 Well it's really sending Windows to your DS, not your DS to Windows. It could go either way really, depending on how you look at it, but that's that name so deal with it
TheChuckster Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I don't have a magnifier. If only this program had the functionality to zoom in built in.
iganokage Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Hi there, first post (because I'd really like to get this working!) I can't get this to connect at all on my setup... flashme'd DS with M3 CF, homebrew usually works fine (never tried wifi type ones before), linksys WRT54Gv5 router with 1.0.0.6 firmware, DS works fine online (mario kart etc)... however when i fill in the connection details into the app, DS IP of 192.168.1.30 as setup in the WFC options, gateway as the IP of the router, server as the IP on my main PC etc.... when i goto connect it sees the AP, but once i press A it _immediately_ displays the error message of "CANNOTCONNECT"... no authenticating or waiting or anything... just error straight away.. WEP etc is disabled, and tried both with mac filtering and without... the dswifi stuff does work with a router right? or am I just totally off the mark and need a softAP in my machine or something.... any ideas? i'd love to try this app out

iganokage Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Still no luck tried default ( 192.168.1.189) and what sintax has in the toubleshooting ( x.x.x.188), and the CANNOTCONNECT message comes up straight away... do I need to setup some DMZ on the DS IP or something?
LargePig Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Still no luck tried default ( 192.168.1.189) and what sintax has in the toubleshooting ( x.x.x.188), and the CANNOTCONNECT message comes up straight away... do I need to setup some DMZ on the DS IP or something?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Open up a command prompt on your pcType:ipconfig /all This will give you the subnet mask, gateway and dns settings you should use on the ds.If your pc is 192.168.1.10 you should have your ds in the same range (the first 3 numbers should match), i.e., 192.168.1.11. So if you have 192.168.0.200 as your pc ip, use 192.168.0.11 as your ds ip. So long as you don't have two devices on the network with the same ip and you server and ds are in the same ip range you should be sorted.
LargePig Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Although, on reflection, this does not look like an IP problem, looks like it's failing to connect to the AP.

Although, on reflection, this does not look like an IP problem, looks like it's failing to connect to the AP. well, sure as hell if the ip he sets for the DS is not in the same range then the router it will never connect hehe, not ever. iganokage Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 hehe I suppose I should clarify the setup a bit more: yes server exe is running on main PC with a basic password. My network is 192.168.1.x with 255.255.255.0 subnet... So router is 192.168.1.1 and main PC is 192.168.1.33. Perhaps I should try changing my PC IP around a bit seeing if it'll somehow magically work.. Also wondered if it was my firewall on main PC causing trouble but doubtful, just to be sure I added the DS IP to the trusted list for all traffic/ports and still nothing... At this stage I'm thinking the same thing LargePig, as it's not even getting thru the router to try and auth at the PC, its failing straight away. The only thing that's perhaps different about my setup than a default one is that I have updated the router firmware twice recently, once to get the DS working and to the newest version to fix a bug in PPPoE. I appreciate the help though, and sorry if I'm being annoying
