Lucandrake Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 I am amazed that disney would put so much violence into a movie. I am on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, so far my two favorite books are The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian.

I've read all the books when I was 12. I have really good memories of them.
Dooz Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Man I hated those books. I read them when I was young (Hated it) and re-read it last year (Hated it even more). Pure trash.

Lucandrake Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 I think the books are amazing, and would gladly reread the entire series after I finish them. The movie, was amazing. I think it showed almost all the aspects of the book, and Digory is the professor am I correct?. Since I don't recall hearing or reading his name. Only that in the magicians nephew he grew up to be a professor.

Also when Aslan saccrifices himself for Edmund. Edited December 12, 2005 by Drake

Lucandrake Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 By the way, can you guess who made most of the music for this movie? Or composed lol.

Pure trash.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lord of the Rings fan are we?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Not at all. I haven't even seen the third film. And I don't plan to. And I like medieval fantasy stories. The films are just not that interesting. They certainly aren't terrible, but not worthy of the praise they received. I have never read the LOTR books, though (And I don't plan to. The books are huge and I am one lazy man).
Nusumenai Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 (edited) you guys realise those books are religious propaganda right?just simple retellings of bible stories to appeal to kids. the lion is jesus. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nothing wrong with that. Just like there is nothing wrong with retelling bible stories. One of my favorite RPGs is Xenosaga and that has so many damn religious references. Hell, there is even a symbolic Jesus figure (his actual name IS Jesus). EDIT - Also, what do you mean my religious propaganda? I don't see CoN trashing women and putting them down. NeuronMaster Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Pictures in books are not childish. <3 pictures.
Diso Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I've read only like 3 of the books. As a young kid I couldn't tolerate the latter books so I just threw them over my shoulder and began reading other books. (and I'm not surprised that networks like disney are using violence. It's probably the only way to appeal to kids nowadays)
Lucandrake Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 I was surprised just because it was Disney, period. Movie is rated PG-13 btw....
