In the article, they said they wanted to work on Alyx on little more so she might have a little more role in the game.

Well that basically answered your question there. It would be awesome to bring him back for Opposing Forces 2 and have him fight the Combine during the Seven Hour War or for the Resistance.

That would be interesting. After all he was from the army trying to stop Gordon, but where will he go now? I hope barney will have another game without that many puzzles in it.

I think what fascinates me about the HL series is that, it always leaves an unfinish ending or a vaguely outcome. Something that we can't comprehend to know whats left of the story. I guess thats the genuity of the HL series. It's a series that makes you come back with a note: wtf

Agreed. The storytelling is excellent, but the story itself is so far kind of shoddy. They're going to have to start filling in holes eventually, if they have any plan for a real storyline. What they fill it with could make or break the background that they've laid out.

Well that's not inconsitency, that's something else entirely. But I do agree about it not being explained enough, it's not. But I love the way the story is told since you only know as much as Gordon knowns and nothing more. Most people are just too used to omniscient third person story telling so it's weird when they don't know what's all going on.

But I love the way the story is told since you only know as much as Gordon knowns and nothing more. Yeah, I know the difference between when something is inconsistant and when something doesn't make sense, but I got a brainfart :/

 

I like the story as much as you do, but I wish they would at least make a proper ending, even if VALVe aims for a trilogy.
