Rag Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Apparantly it's also supposed to be a trilogy. Well, atleast Gordon's story is a triolgy. I think Gabe said that once but I can't recall where.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> are you saying there might be a new char. in the HL series?!?!?
Gryph Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Well there is Alyx but I doubt she'll get a whole game to herself. And for those who finished Opposing Forces, remember what happened to your character? Maybe another Barney adventure. Maybe play as the Combine. Who knows.

Skythe Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 I'm going into jizz drive thinking of a possible Opposing Force 2.
Gryph Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 And where's Shepard ?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm going into jizz drive thinking of a possible Opposing Force 2.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well that basically answered your question there. It would be awesome to bring him back for Opposing Forces 2 and have him fight the Combine during the Seven Hour War or for the Resistance.

After all he was from the army trying to stop Gordon, but where will he go now? I hope barney will have another game without that many puzzles in it.
Mag Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 I think what fascinates me about the HL series is that, it always leaves an unfinish ending or a vaguely outcome. Something that we can't comprehend to know whats left of the story. I guess thats the genuity of the HL series. It's a series that makes you come back with a note: wtf
Wizard Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 I feel like killing the scenario writer at valve for the most inconsistant story ever. Even if some of it WAS intentional.

Agozer Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 I feel like killing the scenario writer at valve for the most inconsistant story ever. Even if some of it WAS intentional. How's it inconsistant? It doesn't make much sense? As in a lot is not explained well enough or at all.

The storytelling is excellent, but the story itself is so far kind of shoddy. They're going to have to start filling in holes eventually, if they have any plan for a real storyline. What they fill it with could make or break the background that they've laid out.

As in a lot is not explained well enough or at all.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Well that's not inconsitency, that's something else entirely. But I do agree about it not being explained enough, it's not. But I love the way the story is told since you only know as much as Gordon knowns and nothing more. Most people are just too used to omniscient third person story telling so it's weird when they don't know what's all going on.

Gryph Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Aftermath supposedly picks up right after the end in the Citadel.
Agozer Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Aftermath supposedly picks up right after the end in the Citadel. Then it's a must-get for those who'd like to know what the flock really happened.
