Inky Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I am getting my ds this weekend, I can only afford 1 games right now unless they have some used I may be able to get away with 2. right now I am leaning towards mariods or urbz but what are your opinions? it's got to have high replay value since it will be the only game I have for the system for at least 2 weeks besides the metroid demo and gba games I borrow form my nephew till I get my linker.
AnGeL-212 Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 If I Were u, I'll Start With Wario Touched Feel The Magic is Awesome Too u Know it's Ur Choice After All
NeoMaster Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 (edited) Right now I would advise you to save that money and invest elsewhere. The DS right now only has about 13 games and the only one close to getting a 9.0/10 score is Mario DS. The upcoming game releases for the system is very sparse and the good ones are all listed at TBA. You should wait for some good games to come out if you plan getting the system for the DS software. But if you also want the GBA capabilities I guess it would be alright to get the system.. Edited March 1, 2005 by NeoMaster
Mag Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Yeah I mean, the DS launch was pretty bad. The only good worthy game to keep is SM64 DS, unless you beat the game and got tired of it, I don't recommend it. Try and wait for Metroid: PH, Castlevania, and maybe Mario Kart 64 DS.
Mag Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Yeah, I shoulda kept my GBA SP >< now I gotta buy a new one, along with flash card.
NeoMaster Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I'm glad I wasn't drawn in by the "hype" of ds. Thank god high price tag that scared me off.
Bluestinger X Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Wario ware is great if u love mini games.. if u liked the orginal on the gba then its a must have. Besides that Mario 64 and Feel the magic are good. If ur desperate for a racing game then ridge racer is ok i guess.. not great though.
LoRd_SnOw Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 don't waste your money on it. save it for the psp, sorry im a DS owner as well i beat mario DS 3 times already save your cash on somthing more efficient becouse the psp will have and already has several titles out to date. either that or continue saving up for the next Gameboy
NeoMaster Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 PSP is gonna roxxers. Personally I'm tired of Nintendo's monopoly on the Handheld bizz.
L.S.D Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Now that PSP has been released, it is not a hype anymore. I have make comparison between DS and PSP, testing a few gamesand I really prefer PSP albeit the expensive price. THe games in PSPare much much more superior compare to DS's games. Graphic is one thing. Gameplay is another. DS is full of kiddies game.
Inky Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 when both handhelds were announced I was firmly behind the psp. I would get a psp but the price is just too much, I won't even pay 250+ for a ps3 or xbox2. when the price comes down to exeptable ranges I will get the psp. I need something in the mean time. I was going to get an sp but I figure why not get a ds and I can play gba games until the ds lineup picks up. oh man I just put out my cigarette in my fresh can of pepsi

It can tide you over till Jump Superstars comes out. Phew, good thing it wasn't coke you ruined.
