Gryph Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 (edited) I was just wondering if you guys know of the best CBR reader. I know many of you read manga so I'm assuming they are packaged like that so you must use something. I'm going to start a graphic novel collection (already got all of Sin City \o/) and the one I use doesn't open some pages so that pisses me off. I'm using CReader or something like that, I'm in school so I don't remember. And just so this topic doesn't get moved to PC Tech Help, what comic book or graphic novel collections do you have on your PC or otherwise? Yes, you can even list what manga you have. Wizard Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 I just open them up in winrar and extract them.
Gryph Posted January 25, 2005 Author Posted January 25, 2005 I didn't want to do that since it would take even more room. Meh...
SWAMP_THING Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 cddisplay is the bestyou might need to configure to for double pages thou or use the arrow keys to check for them

Samurai Edge Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I rename them to.zip and unzip them, after reading, I delete it, so it won't take space. And I have the Capcom Artworks!

Sultan Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I use that as well. It was just the first one I found and I haven't looked further. I could certainly imagine a better program though. I have a ton of archives of comics you can take a look at. Find me on irc sometime and I'll let you on my ftp.
Gryph Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 Unzip then print?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I have an old laser printer so that won't do. If I use my Dad's color printer, it would eat up a lot of color. But that would be the best...next to buying them which I will one day.
Swithin Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Is there a reader *other* than cdisplay? Oh, and I haven't been around a lot due to work. Hope everyone's well.
EmanX Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 i have spider-man comics, green latern, fantastic four, spawn, punisher, adn i have a lil of the hulk
Inky Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 If I knew a decent tracker for comics I would definately have more.right now I have the crow, grendel, some spiderman, xmen, punisher, daredevil & spawn from my highschool dayz. I got rid of all my hardcopies along tyme ago. including my platinum spider man #1. if you were into comics in the early 90's this one skyrocketed to over $4000 I ended up selling as it was going back down for around $2500 it goes for around $100 now and a non platinum goes for about $5 to $8 lol. the early 90's was a good tyme to get out of comics as prices were really insane.
Gryph Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 A great place for comics is DC++. Sultan told me there were some good hubs and boy was he right. Almost everything I want is there. Right now I'm collecting graphic novels (I'm more interested in those) mainly by Frank Miller and Alan Moore. I'll move onto regular comics after I get my fill of graphic novels.
