Gryph Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 That's the second time you've used that in 2 days. Get some new material. Actually, the DS has been having this problem in some units. This is an official statement made by Nintendo: "With a small number of Nintendo DS screens, one or two dots on the screen may appear to be "stuck" on a particular color, such as white or red. This effect is caused when a particular pixel (the dots that make up the screen) is not working properly, even with the high quality standards set by LCD manufacturers. You will find this situation is common in many LCD devices, (PC monitors, televisions, cell phones, etc.). It's important to understand that this issue will remain limited to the pixels you have already noticed. The problem will not get any worse and you should not expect to see the problem in any other areas of the screen. We suggest that you use your system for a few weeks to determine whether this interferes with your enjoyment of game play. If, after using your system for awhile, you feel that this tiny dot is too distracting, the Nintendo DS does carry a one-year warranty. We are happy to inspect and, if necessary, fix your system at no charge within the warranty period."
Wizard Posted December 13, 2004 Author Posted December 13, 2004 I'm pretty up todate with Nintendo's problems, but I knew about those waaaay before I came back here.
Gryph Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I'm pretty up todate with Nintendo's problems, but I knew about those waaaay before I came back here.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>So, I posted it for the others. You posted Sony and their dead pixel problems, I'm bringing up DS and it's dead pixel problem. A little balance is needed, if you're going to rail against one company for that, do it for both.
Weirdy Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I memmer reading of when the ps2 first launched in japan, they had forgotten to add the support for dvd's
Ryuken Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 that's y the US release is always better, cuz we get them later
Wizard Posted December 13, 2004 Author Posted December 13, 2004 So, I posted it for the others. You posted Sony and their dead pixel problems, I'm bringing up DS and it's dead pixel problem. A little balance is needed, if you're going to rail against one company for that, do it for both.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Didn't I say I hate both of them? Because I know I did. PSP sucks because I hate Sony in general.DS sucks because. Christ, I just hate it. Nothing these 2 systems has even phased me of buying them. Well, maybe for Jam Band. But DS still blows because of it's stylus other random crap. Might as well mac on both and say their friking huge and as big as an xbox.
OverlordMondo Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 The DS is no bigger than a GBA. The PSP is even smaller than that. And what's wrong with the stylus? The PSP works as a small vid player on the go, even though it won't last long enough to watch you movie. Plus has games that are *apparently* better than those on the DS. I wouldn't know, I've never heard of any games on the PSP. I've heard it plays MP3s as well. The DS supports staple titles like Mario, Sonic, Metroid, Pokemon and such, plus a few other awesome ones, like Mr. Driller, and Advance Wars DS (Which should really be called DS Wars). It'll also soon be sporting some Final Fantasy. The Dual Screen allows for more options, and looks fine to me. Metroid DS is pretty odd, aiming with a stylus doesn't quite work out, they should've left Metroid 2D if you don't have two joysticks. But what about Wario Ware? Imagine how great the stylus would be for that. And the second screen can always be used simply as a second screen, not every game uses the stylus anyway. What've you got against handhelds?
Agozer Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 that's y the US release is always better, cuz we get them laterAnd *we* get them even later than you guys, which bascally sucks big time, but at the same time it's sort of good...
Wizard Posted December 13, 2004 Author Posted December 13, 2004 What've you got against handhelds?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I've got something against these "handhelds," I love my GBA to death but these 2, ohhh, these 2 aren't even worth my money until a big cut is in order.
NeuronMaster Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I'm safe from wasting $200 bucks on a handheld that could probably break..I'd rather just have $200 bucks.
