I don't want to break any rules here so I'll ask this the best way that I can. Is it against the rules to ask (not in post, perhaps through PM) where I can get a good svc rom? Again - I am NOT ASKING WHERE TO GET IT, but only if I hypothetically could ask through PMing?

Okay. All I'm going to say is that James is the MAN. That being said, I magically came across what I believe to be the correct rom for svc. I also magically came across the right emu. But still no good. So I am going to post the new CRCs and see if anyone can help now. I thought it should be 15 CRCs but it is 3:

If you read the PM to what i said and checked the links properly you would of found that one there is no romset called svc for clonemame I even provided you roms yet you have ignored that as well.

Everything was provided.

Didn't want to start a new topic, but I could use some help here, as I'm not sure what romset I have for this game. Also maybe someone can point me to where the ASR.DAT info would be for me to get this to work, or perhaps I need to rewrite all this to.bin?

I'd love to help, but none of those roms match anything I have. The extension of "rom" intimates decryption, meant for neoragex. You didn't say what emulator you are using, or what happens when you run it.

That's the SvC Plus bootleg set, that works in EGCG NeoRAGEx and Nebula (Kawaks too?). The only problem is that since it's a bootleg, it has numerous bugs. You can get fixes here. Read the accompanied Readme so that you know what files the patches alter and what they actually do.

 

Check the second-to-lat page in the pinned DATs thread for DAT information. Note that Kawaks Loader has ASR.DAT and Nebula Loader has NEOGEO.DAT.

I got it to work, but you're right, it does have bugs in it.

 

Lastly, do you know if there's a way to fix the game's control sensitivity in Kawaks (I've got the loader 1.46), Ryu seems to have a hard time pulling off his Shoryuken compared to Ken among other things. I'm using a USB/PS2 Controller adapter, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. If there's nothing that can be done it just proves SNK didn't do quite as good a job for the game as Capcom did with theirs.

Kawaks doesn't have a control sensitivity option, and I'm thinking it's more of a game feature...

Or then it's partially your adapter's/controller's fault.
