  1. doesnt matter what version of the browser you use, or so ive heard, ive only tested 2.0 and 2.6 The format your image is in doesnt matter, once you burn a game its in standard Dreamcast format (well...except for not being on a GD-ROM) thats just the format it was ripped in If the game isnt self boot you should use DC_HAKKAR if that boot disc doesnt work try Utopia Boot Disc (I use version 1.3) try to avoid getting non self boot games as they are a pain in the ass To boot Imports you have to use DC-IE, its on this forum somewhere and gameshark/action replay works SOMETIMES too but DC-IE works much better, sometimes there are cracks availible for games so imports will work on any dreamcast, try www.dccopyworld.com i know you can mix these discs around and try and boot imports with Utopia boot disc and stuff but i have the best luck doing it this way
  2. well thats probably because you bought it used, get a new unopened one and get yourself a valid serial, and if you want, you can by my serial off me because i never registered it or heres a trade idea get me DC-X and ill give you my Serial heh id probably have to give you more than just the serial though...
  3. actually its floating around in the ClassicSega hub in DC, but it only works if you have a broadband adaptor because its the US version
  4. Well after the Hacker dissapeared the SegaOP pretty much just stood there for a couple seconds and then started walking around as normal again. He was in trouble because i guess the SegaOP noticed he has like 9 thousand kagillion money and his party members kept hitting him and his health wasnt going down, or maybe party members cant hurt each other i dunno it was probably just the money thing unless party members can hurt each other yep i go online with my Dreamcast alot its really fun hehe except i use this crappy keyboard that screws up on me alot (and causes me to lose in quake III Arena >_< )
  5. I wonder if you could use one of those PSX to Dreamcast Adaptors and they would all work? Also, in the GameStop by me i SWEAR seeing a controller that looked exactly like a PSX controller for the DC, i wondered why anyone would want to use it but it could possibly be for this! Post a picture from your mag Bob and ill see if its the same one!
  6. Nice lookin forum! I hope it grows to be large and successful Good luck with it, ill get around to joining it soon
  7. 1. that boot disc works, MAKE SURE YOU GET A SLIDE CARD TOO hehe it makes it soooo much easier (buy from www.consolesource.com they have the Discs and Slide card that i have and they work awsome) 2. Use Alchohol 120% to burn, its easy as hell and even has preset burning settings for PSX and PS2
  8. they used infinite HP/Money/Etc cheats and made it unfair when a SegaOP came along and found out it was hilarious to watch them get yelled at though, while i was at a friends we saw a SegaOP yelling at some guy (ya know how to can see the speech bubbles?) and right in the middle of the convo the hacker starts running away and the SegaOP starts chasing him and then the hacker just dissapears outta thin air (where guessing either he got booted or disconnected) me and my friend where laughing for hours
  9. sweet, think you could pick me up a copy of DC-X and send it my way? ill reimburse you for shipping/price of DC-X
  10. NES, Nintendo Entertainment System First US Nintendo Console, Kicked off gaming in the US (how can you not know what NES is?) SNES, Super Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo's Second US system
  11. well you can use a Coders cable to link your DC to your PC, download special drivers that lets you use the DC as a Drive, and rip them that way, but its so complicated its not even worth it just dont copy originals, download them and burn
  12. yeah i heard about that, i also heard their starting to flock it on on the Gamecube too I used a regular burnt disc, how i did it? easy hehe my Japanese reading friend was over it was actually the first time i played it online
  13. well i know about Nero and CDI2Nero im talking about one of those things where theres no 1ST_READ.BIN and everything else and I LIKE SlaveZero!!
  14. well i have a video player that plays DivX videos flawlessly, and i have a VCD to DivX convertor, and i also have a DVD player that can play VCDs...and SVCDs....and everything else hehe (350 bucks) The thing about VCDs on the DC is i can do it on VGA which would look much nicer (especially for Anime) and i dont want to spend 80+ dollars on an RCA to VGA box ahh well, i guess its between the VGA box or risk it at lik-sang... i could use the VGA box for other systems too i guess so maybe ill have to go with that, its just another reason to get one
  15. well it doesnt matter what format the CD image is in, it can be BIN, ISO, CDI, NRG, or anything else, all that matters is that you burn it right, I suggest Using Alchohol 120% as it supports all major formats and has a PSX game burning setting so you know your doing it right As for the CDs, No it can be any kind of disc as long as its CD-R, if you want it to look really official and you have a CD printer and everything go with the black ones, but it really doesnt matter, i use both, whatevers on sale hehe
  16. Well i have some VCDs (original VCDs that i *gasp* paid for) That i either got in Japan China or Chinatown NYC, now i am too lazy to rip them and probably never will due to general incompetence, but anyway on to my problem Is there some kind of VCD player i could burn, put in my Dreamcast, and then put an original/Standard VCD/SVCD disc in and it would play? This way it would save me a lot of time, discs, money, etc. So i am wondering if i can just do it this way. So far i have tried the gyplay lik-sang Edition and if i take the disc out and put the VCD in then it doesnt detect any disc is in the drive. So does anyone know the name of/where to get some VCD/SVCD software for my dreamcast that will allow me to swap in the VCD/SVCD instead of burning it along with the player? Ive heard of this being done so i know its possible its just difficlult to find. Thanks in advance -Shibathedog
  17. oh ok good hehe because i still cant finda tutorial for that situation that doesnt suck, can anyone help me so when n00bs ask me i dont have to go thru the annoying process of explaining it to them? hehe
  18. nah actually to my surprise it very rarely lags I feel your pain cinder i have a retail copy with a serial that has never even been registered, it was actually my friends and he just gave it to me along with alot of his other DC stuff that he didnt want anymore (almost smacked him hehe) I never bought the game when the DC was in its prime, hell i didnt even get my DC until it was discontinued. I had only played it at my friends house i remember the exact details about when i got my DC...*ramble filter activated*
  19. this sounds like one of those HEY I GOT A GOOD IDEA!!! LETS HACK/SWAP THE DC BIOS!!! jobs one wrong.... i WOULD say that the internal battery is dead and that MIGHT be the problem (if you want ill tell you how to change it) but the thing where you cant even move the indicators and such is odd.....can you just push start and keep it the default time that shows up? because you dont really need the correct time in for anything. And your saying it doesnt boot into games either right? if you have a browser disc (or just burn one from DC++ or something) and it will boot you can try to reset the dreamcasts internal memory and see if that works first insert the web browsers GD-ROM (or CD-R) into you'r console, then plug a single contoller into port b and hold buttons b and x while turning on the system. If you keep holding them until the web browser log in screen appears, the internal memory will be reset Or as a last resort you can try to find of those system restore disc images floating around (these have never worked for me, and im guessing the reason yours is flocked up is because someone found a "working" that actually just screwed it up more) ill be back later with some more possible solutions....
  20. hmm yes they have many images but theres two problems The Slave Zero image seems to be currupt or unburnable or something, maybe it needs to be burned in TAO format instead of DAO (I hate discjuggler so i convert it to Nero format, i tried converting to DAO which didnt work so i need to try TAO) also they have some where its one of those File.001 file.002 file.003 file.004 which may be confusing to n00bs, ill try and find a tutorial for it but i have had trouble finding a tutorial for this in the past that doesnt suck
  21. well the way i saw it done (this is with a beta emulator) all the big sound files where ripped into music tracks and the data stayed the same so it loaded the data on the ram, and played most of the music from the CD like it was playing an audio CD of course this only allows for one ROM per CD
  22. yes, most games you can still play online in fact just this morning i was playing Quake III Arena with a burned disc then i proceeded to play Unreal Tournement online with a burned disc then i proceeded to play Capcom Vs SNK 2 online with a burned disc then i proceeded......
  23. most people ive met like ZSnes but i like Snes9X i cant figure out WHY though Snes9x just does soooo much more
  24. yep it works, another way to do it is i put VMU saves on my website hosting and download from there but this disc way is easier, sometimes the site generator is retarded and names them wrong and you have to fix them though
