Canadians just as good or bad as Americans?
Shibathedog replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
This guys writes things according to whats going on in 1emulation i swear (or at least it seems like it sometimes, he wrote this alot earlier, i just didnt find it till now because im lazy) http://www.ninjapirate.com/difference.html That settles that -
yeah i know, but im like paranoid about losing speed, i dont think i will though
-
i think i could probably do that, I use my wireless router for internet though, i wish my VoIP router had wireless >_< Ill give it a try and see if it makes a difference

I played one, and i second teh fact that the main menu and stuff is pretty worthless if you dont have live
-
My friend said it was really good, but he didnt like teh fact that the demons and whatnot where caused by a virus type thing. I should go see it soon!

Okay so my new PS2 is alot smarter, wtf, any fixes? heres the problem. I used to use a Gameshark 2 V2 as a boot disc for burned games on my old PS2 that broke, This PS2, Will not boot the Gameshark 2 V2!!! On some PS2s holding the power button after turning it on untill the game boots helps, but on this PS2, It just turns off after awhile!!! It WILL boot the PSX cheat CD, but no matter what brand of CD-R media i put it, and no matter whats on it, a PSX game, an audio CD, whatever, it just makes clicking noises and wont read the disc!! Time for swap magic 3? (im afraid of screwing up a modchip install, its alot harder than xbox hehe) I know it boot swap magic 2.1 or w/e because this PS2 used to belong to a friend of mine who used that all the time. It would be nice if i could get the gameshark to boot though, i even tried booting the PS2 gameshark with the PSX one hehehe. Its an SCPH50001/N

weird disconnecting prob dealing with my router
Shibathedog replied to Prican25's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
I have one of the exact same routers with the exact same problem, same version and everything, i tried reflashing it about 100 times and reconfiguring it, there was no fixing it It would happen randomly for no reason too, to the point where i couldnt get into the HTTP Config page eventually (It kept getting worse and worse) recently, after it being unplugged for months, i reflashed it with the latest firmware, and disabled teh wirless and im using it as a wired router to share an internet connection from my laptop into my consoles (Laptop has wireless adaptor) and it hasnt done it since But you wouldnt have wireless anymore :/ Try the newest firmware though. -
wow, good thing i have broadband now Level 3 being down=ENTIRE Juno+Netzero ISP down (or at least in the state of michigan)
-
Yeah but netlimiter is going to make it so i cant get the full speed of my internet, i want all my PCs to be able to get full speed all the time, but when someone uses the phone the PC will automatically use less bandwidth so the phone has enough.
-
I would keep the PSP at least if i where you, theres aloooott of sweet games coming out for it. plus eventually that thing is going to be as hackable as an xbox (im not saying its going to be as powerful, im just saying as easy to mod/run homebrew on/etc) They even got Mac OS running on it!!! (Theres a second release thats much faster now)
-
ugh i guess im just going to have to save up 300 because with teh 300 dollar cards the choices are alot more obvious to me :/
-
I have broadband now, and VoIP phone service (Vonage) and people in my family complain when i have bittorent open the line starts breaking up (I havent noticed it myself though, my family is just paranoid i think and if they hear one single pop or short mute they will go on about how the line is ALWAYS breaking up...annoying...but not the issue at hand) Now i THINK the way to do this is under the QoS tab, but is there a way i can give my VoIP router priority bandwidth over everything else? NOT reserved bandwidth so everything else is limited, but just give that router priority over everything else? My main router is a Linksys WRTG54GS V4 if that helps (Wireless G Router with speedbooster) My VoIP router is also a Linksys, they refer it it as the "VoIP router with 2 phone ports" all the time, and im not sure if its even on Linksys's website but i could check the model number if needed. Side note: What was that site with all the WRTG hacked firmwares and stuff?
-
Saying this is probably going to turn this into an argument, but i would much rather have a PSP than a DS, I own a DS and i really dont like it much, Alot of my friends have PSPs and im always playing it when im over there.
-
i cant beleive you said Quake 3 blew No one plays the core game lol its the mods silly im really excited about Quake 4, its why im buying a Quake 4 playing device COUGH Xbox 360. That other game ill probably get when its cheaper. FEAR looks like its awesome single player, and sucky MP, so uhh....download...
-
Well im not really biased towards any company, i just need to replace the intel thats in there XD Its a 2.4GHz P4 with 256MB RAM (Im going to upgrade with another 512 chip at LEAST though) and ill use whatever drivers work better im not worried about that
-
Picture of his house AKA what he lives under...
-
ahem Sorry couldnt resist...
-
i dunno ATi has served me better in the past, maybe its time to switch? Im not really expecting max detail in doom 3 as my friend has a 3.4GHz P4 with a GeForce 6800GT OC with default drivers and even that has slight FPS issues sometimes
-
Well i finally got some cash and im ready to upgrade my other PC, i dont want to really spend more than about 200, but how do you think these cards will be for playing Doom 3, HL2, UT2k4, FarCry, Serious Sam 2, FEAR, etc, I already own most of those games, i just want to be able to play them >_< http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814102608 That one looks the best to me and then theres alot of 9600XTs with higher clock speeds like these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814123132 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814123150 and this GeForce6600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814121196 BTW the mobo only supports AGP4X..so..yeah.. Any of the above seem good enough for what im going to be using it for?
-
hahaha even the titles of those sound great, i wish I understood cantonese
-
yeah id have to say i like ATi better in alot of ways nVidia 6800GT is a sweet card tho for a good price
-
Usually the way the Nvidia Vs ATi Race goes is ATi Will have some super card, Nvidia comes out with a better one for awhile, then ATi tops it for a super long time again. Waiting to see if that will happen with the X1000.... Does anyone remember how long the Radeon 9800 series lasted? Omg it was tops for like years. You can STILL get away with using the XT.
-
alright thats what i thought, i really need an Xbox DVD remote but i feel stupid paying 30 for one....ebay i guess
-
yeah alot of people say doom 3 for xbox has FPS problems, i havent seen ANY besides when i lag while playing online, which isnt really an FPS problem (damn bittorent)
