Though I like the lounge section of this place because of its uncategorized topics, it also lends to the wavering post quality because of that very reason. An opinion I think you'll find is shared only by the most closed-minded avid comic junkies. So you're basing your opinion off of another person? And Nicholson isn't a "pop fad" on some level? Pop fad or not Depp is a good character actor. A movie can be judged on different levels. Was Batman 1 a good movie in general? Yes. Was Batman 1 a good comicbook-to-movie adaptation? Ehhhh. Was Batman 1 the best Batman movie? Probably not. I am not an avid comic junkie myself and I don't think Batman 1 or Nicholson was the best in their respective senses. I don't need to have studied drama to find Nicholson's Joker less-than-spectacular given the fictional character's character as a whole. I just think its a bit bias to say Ledger has nothing on Nicholson's Joker. Especially when the movie isn't even out yet. But that's just me.

Widely considered one of the finest character actors? From what credible source are you using that line? Or are you labeling him one based on your own opinions? If you were referring to someone like Johnny Depp than it would make sense but Nicholson is nothing like Depp. I've seen Nicholson in his earlier films and the man broke-out to mainstream because of his personality. He acted well as the Joker in the original Batman but that movie itself wasn't great, nor the direction of its characters including his. Of course Ledger may seem the risk when referring to his role as the Joker because of the character itself. Joker's only been done once in mainstream cinema and by a nutjob (I mean that in a good way) the first time who wasn't doubted for his ability to seem loony. But its pretty obvious already that Joker in TDK is NOT the same Joker as the original Batman film. Expect something different. Something less comical but more visceral.

Bias? Opinion. Heath Ledger doesn't have a range. He wasn't the studio's or the director's first choice either. And Nicholson does? The man is famous for being himself on screen, like many other A-list mega-super-hollywood stars. Ledger has range. He can be a submissive younger brother to Matt Damon of all people, a soft-spoken homosexual cowboy, and now a psychotic maniac. If anything The Dark Knight will prove he has range.

Agreed. He's not a by-the-canon portrayal, but damn Nicholson's Joker is one of the best villains I've ever seen. Heath doesn't have the talent to top that, no matter what style they choose to go with this time. Bias. If Heath Ledger didn't have the talent, he wouldn't have been hired to be in the movie.

I like Joker as he's portrayed in this film. Not so goofy that he's silly, but deranged and disturbed. A bit sarcastic, I suppose its better than something Jim Carrey would come up with, who is not at all a convincingly intimidating Joker.

Hopefully this will give audiences the true essence of RE and not that garbage that's been displayed in movie theaters as of late.

Was it like what was happening to me and coming out of both ends? Yes. But i've had varying degrees of indigestion/food poisoning. The first time it was agony and I had to go on two IV's while the bacteria ate half my stomach lining. This past one wasn't as bad but still pretty hard, took me almost a week to feel normal again after getting out of the hospital. I also ate some spicy food that did a number on me and was coming out of both ends simultaneously, but after I got it all out of my system I was ok. So I dunno how much pain you're in but if you're still functioning and coherent I don't think its food poisoning.

My 550w PSU has two fans, one of which doesn't automatically spin anymore and I have to turn it myself after the comps been turned on for a while so it'll start spinning and stay spinning. Anyway the other night my comp wouldn't stay on after 5 seconds or so of turning on the power. This happened several times where I used different power cables to try and turn it on. Eventually late at night it turned on but I decided its about time I get a new PSU. So I went out today and got a 650w Thermaltake Toughpower with cable management and all that. Hooked it up and started her up. The LED's flashed for a split second but then stopped and the comp was shutdown. A few seconds later I see some smoke puffing out from the top of the chassis. I wasn't facing the side where I can see inside the case so I don't know exactly where it came from. But after unplugging and re-plugging the power cord and pressing the power button, it started up and has been working. What do you think happened? And what should I do? Should I return the PSU and exchange it? I dunno if that smoke damaged the PSU or not... I got it from Fry's so I have 15 days I guess.

Yet again they elude progression with this prequal stuff. That'll be my biggest qualm about this game if it is true. Why do they even bother calling it 4? I hope Urien or a pre-godhood Gill is part of the lineup.
