  1. SpyBot I guess. That's what I've been keeping on my computer for ages, anyway.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if the spell names are linked to tarots and other languages. It makes sense after all.
  3. Yeah, Act Cadenza is really good. I play it from times to time, mainly for practicing combos.
  4. Unless the controls suddenly start to work properly, no. you might want to try changing the input plugin to something else than the default, but don't expect miracles.
  5. Blame Kaillera and the fact that it's an ad-hoc implementation to an old version of Project64. Well ok, perhaps not exactly ad hoc, but still a quick implementation that the Kaillera client is notorious for. Also, the actual quality code the emulator that Kaillera is linked contributes to how well Kaillera works. You might want to switch to Mupen64Plus if you want to play N64 games online. Supposely it's far better coded and more stable.
  6. One thing why I really like in SMT is the rather unorthodox way of naming spells. Dia, Agi, Zio, Mudo, Bufuraja, etc. It's awesome.P lus, talking to demons in order to recruit them is pretty fun, although notably Persona 3 and Digital Devil Saga ditched this feature. btw, I did a review on Nocturne ages ago, so if you want to check it out, find it somewhere in the Reviews forum.
  7. The Pixie is probably the mot common ally/enemy in any Shin Megami Tensei game, similar to, say, Slimes in Dragon Quest.
  8. Just get an Intel Mac, and get on with the times. Less hassle with software too.
  9. Depends on how far back in the series' history you are willing to go, although there really no incentive to play the games in certain order, unless were talking about sequels and such. Considering the numerous MegaTen games out there, you've got a bit to choose from, basically: The originals, namely Digital Devil Monogatari: Megami Tensei I and II on the MSX and NES + the SNES and GBA remakes of those. Go with the SNES ones, unless you are really retro. I don't think there are fan translations for the GBA port. Then there's the DemiKids version on the GBA, which take a more chibi, lighter note approach. IIRC, takes likeness to Pokemon than anything else, with SMT plastered all over it. It's not bad, despite being a "kiddy" SMT and all. Between those and the PS2 games, there's a whole bunch of games that never saw the light of day outside Japan. Except for SMT: Persona and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment on the PSX. For some flocked-up reason, the west never saw the sequel to Eternal Punishment (or was it a prequel; P2: Innocent Sin). As far as the PS2 games go, Digital Devil Saga and it's direct sequel are worth playing. SMT Nocturne is sorta nice too, except that it's flocking hard and somewhat aggravating. There's the odd duckling, SMT: Devil Summoner - Kuzunoha Raidou Vs. the Soulless Army, which I guess is good. Haven't played it yet. Has a real-time battle system which is weird for an SMT game. And here we are at Persona 3 and its upgrade, Persona 3: FES. Now if only Europeans would also get FES, if only for putting up with realease bullshit and with not getting any SMT games ever until Nocturne/Lucifer's Call. Oh yeah, Persona 3 is a hybrid between a Shin Megami Tensei game and a relationship simulator. It kicks considerable amount of ass and has an equally good soundtrack although it's something people aren't used to hearing in a SMT/Persona game.
  10. Like it was hinted earlier, there are no NAOMI emulators. When there is one, we'll tell you. Done.
  11. Full of fail, that's what it is. Although I can't spring into action if someone is full of fail. Not yet anyway.
  12. IIRC, there is a chance that you can use your Master Quest save with the original Ocarina of time without any adverse effects. Or I just as well could be wrong. Besides, the Deku Tree is the first dungeon in the game, and it's a very short dungeon too. It really doesn't take you that long to get back in there should you start from scratch.
  13. Have you obtained the Fairy Slingshot and shot the eye above the door yet? Have you raised the pillars by pressing a button in one of the rooms? The only way to get down the big hole in the center is to climb all the way to the top and leap down, landing dead-center of the hole and through it. P.S. You know, GameFAQs helps.
  14. No. All broadswords work the same way. They're big and heavy, so it'll take a while to swing them. Broadswords are always stronger than your other swords when compared at the same levels.
  15. Why do you do this? Please do not resurrect old-ass threads. It's clear that NOMERCYX has no interest in this anymore.
  16. Uh, no. It's a graphic novel. With a kickass soundtrack. Like all the other games made/composed by KEY (See AIR). Now Shuffle!, although a H-Game, has a kickass soundtrack as well.
  17. Everything in Okami, Clannad, Neo Contra, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, TalesWeaver and Final Fantasy VIII. Honorable mentions: eNCHANT arM OST - Reborn -Instrumental- Most trakcs from OZ
  18. FFVII doesn't have ROMs. Anyway, what is your hardware like? If you have a more recent computer, they is no need to use something like Pete's D3D6 plugin. Use Pete's OpenGL2 plugin, besides OpenGL beats Direct3D any day as far as PSX plugins go. Get SPU Eternal 1.50b2 as well, although you'll probably do just fine with the default audio plugin that ePSXe uses. Obvioudsly set the resolution to whatever you like, and you don't need to use the shader options unless you downloaded the some shader programs for the plugin to use. Same with the filtering options. Also enable "Odd/even bit hack" and perhaps "Ignore small framebuffer moves" in Special game fixes.
  19. Do we get chilled drinks during this celebration?
  20. Depends on what genre you like. The SNES has such an massive library of games that you'll bound to find lots of games that you like.
  21. I thought "Ultimate" Weapon was the boss you had to kill? I can remember Emerald Weapon as (for me without the tricks) unbeatable. Diamond Weapon and Ultima Weapon are very easy compared to Emerald and Ruby. And yeah, you have to defeat Diamond and Ultima in order to advance the story. Ultima and Omega in FFVIII, FFX, and FFX-2 are a completely different matter, however.
  22. I'm not going to talk about SNK bosses since most people before me covered those quite well. Tonberries is recent Final fantasy games. Cute but deadly. Several much-harder-than normal regular enemies in final Fantasy X-2 The Demons in Grandia II Randomly spawning snipers and rocket guys in Black For the bosses, not counting those designed to be really hard (you know, optional bosses and such) Valmar Core in Grandia II. The Killer and his summoned sidekick in Shadow Hearts: From the New World Fire Leo in Viewtiful Joe Every single "boss" fight in Black Materia Keeper in Final Fantasy X (more annoying than hard though)
