  1. The chinese will rip off anything. PSX, DS, Wii, clothes, food items, you name it.
  2. Earthbound owns your pants off, like all the other Japanese, very niche games that never get mainstream recognition. Case in point, Mother 3 which will never get an official English localization, because Nintendo are being dicks. Thankfully, we've got some dedicated fan translators to thank for the upcoming fan translation.
  3. I have a 5Mbit/1Mbit connection, that will get doubled for the next 12 months. No caps, throttling or any of that bullshit. I pay ~€36/month (~$55).
  4. How much exactly is more than six times the legal limit over yonder in Kangaroo land?
  5. I'm celebrating my "big" twenty five soon as well. No, I won't be attending yours, thanks to that flocking huge puddle a bit ways east from my location.
  6. Too technical for me. I like like arcade-style more, e.g. Burnout Revenge.
  7. It's a standalone game to my understanding, like all the other Beats of Rage variants. An official games it is not, being fan-made.
  8. Hey, the GameBoy was and still is an awesome handheld system. There's lots of cool games for it.
  9. Yeah, like iq said, the biggest problem with SNES and Nintendo was Nintendo's hardass stance in terms of censorship. I'm sure many remember Mortal Kombat for the SNES and how most gamers regardless of age flocked over to the Genesis to play the same game. Sure, the Genesis version looked and sounded a lot worse, but it had the one thing that made Mortal Kombat THE Mortal Kombat; the blood. Honestly speaking I don't believe that Nintendo has shaken its censorship roots entirely even on this day and age.
  10. Unpossible! Macs can only run iTunes and a a few applications designed for designing crap. Really.
  11. GameCop might be referring to the generations after the Video Game Crash of 1983, which would effectively make the SNES and the Genesis/MegaDrive second generation consoles. Besides, many don't care or know about the games and consoles prior to said crash, the NES made video gaming truly mainstream. To these people, the NES was the advent of "true" video games and video games consoles. Or he might not, but this explanation would enable GameCop to save face, at least.
  12. I remember having to force a region for the Radiant Silvergun image I had in order to get it to boot properly (even though it had a region already). It's probably a bad dump, but... it works. Radiant Silvergun has been the only game I've had problems with. Google SatConv and use it to hack a region of your choice into the CD image.
  13. How are you loading a game? Remember than the console's region has to be set to match that of the game's.
  14. Unless your processor supports SSE2 instructions, the emulator won't start.
  15. You get the compendium sometime in May I think, or last week of April. I don't really remember. Orpheus + Angel combo helps for the first few floors with the HP resort and evasion up. But beyond that, once you get access to more commu links, you'll pretty much not be using him from then until your next play through the game with NG+. Unless you want to attempt to get Orpheus Kai in your first play through, which is impossible I believe. 'Beth will tell you when you access to the comp though. Yeah, I have access to the computer, and I'm on day 06/05 now I believe (beaten two bosses and just a step away from the third). On hindsight, I think I did the right thing sacrificing Orpheus for Forneus. P.S. Persona 3 needs serious props for accurately depicting MMORPG slang. I nearly fell of my seat laughing when I started playing Persona Online during Golden Week for the first time.
  16. SNES, because of a couple of things: * Superior sound and graphics engine * MODE7 * Awesome controller * Donkey Kong Country, Killer Instinct, Final Fantasy IV * Special chips expanded the console's "tricks" substantially, case in point, the SuperFX2 powering Yoshi's Island (sadly Yoshi's Island is the only game worthy of SuperFX2)
  17. Hahaha. That must have been quite an emotional shock. Nothing says "Super Awesome Dog" like leaving your master at the mercy of some boss demon and legging it.
  18. As a side note, what pisses me off most about Nocturne is that your demons, when leveling up, randomly ask to engage in a conversation wit you, should you accept, the demon usually gains an ability - the problem is that it might learn a completely useless one, overwriting a older, particularly helpful spell. And the fact that dungeons are long and rather difficult + if the protagonist gets Mudo'ed, it's Game Over. aaanyway, back to Persona 3/original Shin Megami Tensei: I'll probably start from scratch since I felt the sudden urge of getting Orpheus back. And the Orpheus + Angel combo really does help. What's the point if you can't use the skill? Don't you need Orpheus to fusion Forneus, or is it just about using the right tarot for the fusion? Wiz: Is the Compendium in both version of Persona 3, or just in FES?
  19. To be precise, 7-Zip is teh sex when archiving multiple files. With single fies (such as in my case, single ROM images) the benefit in compression is still slightly higher than with WinRAR and WinZip, but not by much.
  20. Been using WinRAR 3.70 Corporate and WinZip 11 for a while now. Yes, 7-Zip is awesome, but I just can't be assed to convert all my ROM archives to another format. mainly Zips for ROMs, RARs for CD images, mangas and other misc. stuff.
  21. nullDC is fr more stable, and has less audio and graphics glitches. It should be noted though that nullDC have this glitch in SoA where you can't see the skills and items you are selecting during battle, because the "green selection indicator" fails at being transparent. Plus, my game froze after the video where the crew return to town with the airship after the first boss fight.
  22. I can't find a guide on demon fusion. What demons should I be working on getting? For what? P3? If your just starting, abuse fusion. Grab pixie and angel, fuse them. Then grab another of what your missing and fuse those result with pixie or angel. Early game though, keep orpheus. Him + Angel have an all party heal spell that's helpful first month of the game. Getting Nekomata about a week and half intot he game helps to develop skills. Do you actually, get Orpheus back some time in the future? I just fused Forneus, and sacrificed Orpheus during fusion. Doesn't the Orpheus + Angel combo give a party heal plus 50% upgrade to evasion or somesuch?
