The proper term is "ROM image". We shouldn't even call those files ROMs because it's a bastardisation.

Dont ya need different types of roms for final burn alpha? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there's a new FBA that supports neogeo roms, and runs faster then NRX. My guess is it uses same one's as Mame and Kawaks. That isn't really new, you know. That's why iq_132 to emsley to try FBA. And yes, FBA uses different sets (except maybe older Neo-Geo games) than NeoRAGEx.

ROM refers to the actual chip(s) containing the game data, whether it's inside a cart or on an arcade board. You can't write to these chips, that's why "Read Only Memory". So if you'd like to reprogram the cart or an arcade board, you'd have to transfer your own code to and EEPROM and the replace the ROM chip(s) with your newly-programmed EEPROMs.

Just make sure that: 1) The PHP script starts with <?php' and ends with '?>' 2) { , } and ; are in the right places.

I really like it's engine graphics-wise, but it is buggy. Latest updates have fixed some of the nastier issues though. I don't even use Multiplayer, so I could care less about the netcode. Isn't that via GameSpy or something?
