I don't know if mine is the solution but i hex edited the default.xbe file changing the name of the saves folder (the line i modified was 00000180). So i have four different version of mameox and mamedox that seem to coexist on my xbox hard disk without problems.

Solved (I don't know how neither why but the problem seems to be solved). If it can help someonelse who had the same mine matters, i explain what i made. I "installed" kixxx 1.0 on F partition using xbmc files manager to transfer the emu files from a CD-RW to F:\Emulators\ and magically all works perfectly now. I don't know which is the matter but i think I have some problems ( it seems only with some files ) when i ftp files fron my PC to my Xbox as if the data are corrupted during the transfer from Pc to F partition . I noticed that the transfer process from my Pc to E partition needs only few minutes while the same process (regarding the same files) from PC to F xbox partition needs much more times. May someone give me explanations about this? Is there a solution for this "transfering-problem"? Thanks again for the help

First af all thanks for replying me. I think i installed all the existing xbox-emulators on my F partition without any matter, this is the first and only one emu that gave me such a problem. I tried installing Kixxx on C partition (only ki1 as i don't have enough free space on C) and the game runs correctly. Then i installed the emu on F. Results: - ki1 blue screen; - ki2 blue screen and background music Do u think i should reformat my F partition? Should i use slayers disc or xenium os utility? I have on this partition about 100 gigas of apps, emus, music, videos...How can i format and save all my datas? Thanks for your support.

I think i've read everything on the net regarding Kixxx and the needed files, i obtained the right romsets (with the tested working md5) but when i select a game (ki1 or ki2) i obtain only a blue screen and the emu freezes. I put kixx 1.0 in F:\Emulators\ and i i have a xenium os modded xbox v1.0. I give also this infos as i viewed a topic on the net in which someone (who had a xenium os modded xbox v1.0) said that the problem could be the partition where the emu was installed (he succeeded running the emu only from C partition). Is it possible? Why someone can play it from partitions different by C and others can't? i tried also to create an iso image and to burn it on a dvd: the emu starts but when i select a game i obtain only a black screen and the xbox freezes. Please may anyone help me with Xmugen installation? I followed the readme included instructions but surely i mistook something as the screen freezes at Gentoox loader. The following are the steps i did: - I put linuxboot.cfg into the root of E partition (I haven't a linux installed on my xbox) - I put the content of mugen folder in E/mugen/ - I put the default.xbe in F/Games/Xmugen/ Where is the problem? It was so obvious that I refrained from stating that myself. You should try finding a newer version of BenderMameOX, or find another rom. Thanks for replying me. I use the newest (so i think) Bendermameox version (BenderMameOX_HSFII_Edition_23.12.2006) that was created to play that rom (the info file says the following: "Add drivers for Hyper Street Fighter II The Anniversary Edition (Asia 040202 & Phoenix Edition)"). I have eleven different romsets of HSFII Annyversary Ed but it seems they are not ok. In another topic someone posted (Feb 7 2007) dats files related this Bendermameox release but the link seems to be dead, so please may anyone repost a working link or tell me which is the correct romset for playing HSFII by this emu? I tried different roms of "Hyper Stree Fighter II Anniversary Ed" but i received always the following message error: hs2jx.03 NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN hs2jx.04 NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN The rom could not run properly. And I obtain a black screen. Please someone help me. Thanks

Hi Please may anyone help me? I don't succeed playing neo geo cd games by this emulator. When i select the iso i want to play i obtain a black screen. Same thing if i decide to play the game from original cd. Same result if i use neocdsdlx. What is wrong? thanks in advance for your help.

Excuse for the newbie question but it's the first time i have the opportunity to test Mamedox platinum Collection: If i want to play this emu from hard disk (not from dvd) what must i do (after i have installed properly the save folders burning and using the little iso that is in the package )? Can i ftp the bigger iso file,included in Mamedox Platinum2.rar, as it is (or must i extract the iso), directly in my xbox hard disk wherever i want (in a subfolder of the folder Emulators, for example, that i have in F:\) and then launch the default.xbe from xbmc for istance? I just finished dowloading MamedOx Platinum2.rar .It needed five days but finally i got it. By Usenet i didn't succeed (probably as i was not able to use this sharing sofware) to obtain Mamedox platinum, i tryed since March 2006 but nothing, this file seems to be a ghost. So what i want to say (in my poor english) is that emule is surely very slow (compared to usenet) but it secures that a shared file will survive for a long time so that many people in the world will have it and will have the chance of testing it. Be patient (and if anyone can please share also Mamedox Platinum the first release on emule). I gave u Scumball friends slot so u should wait less before downloading from me. Thanks to u all and in particular THANKS to RastanX for sharing (finally) MamedoX Platinum2 on Emule.

Hello, I continue my monologue , hoping someone sooner or later will be so kind to answer me. I done some tests: - I transfered Pulstar.zip from PC to xbox (FTP) and this rom worked with all the arcade emulators i have. I "unistalled" (deleted) (just for testing) the directories where was FBA-XXX pro 1.26 and Pulstar.zip i "reistalled" the same, identical emu and the same, identical rom (FTP) and this time it doesn't work!!! - (other test) I transfered from hard disk of xbox to pc the non-working roms, i created an iso usig fba-xxx pro 1.26 files and this roms, i burned it onto cd-rw and (that's incredible) they work. What doest it mean? The roms are ok. - (other test) I deleted fab-xxx and fba-xxx pro 1.26 from xbox hard disk,I deleted their saves from memory, I "reistalled" only fba-xxx pro 1.26 but always the some roms (Pulstar, Blazing star amd i don't know if there are more) don't work from my hard disk (so some other roms, PLACED IN THE SAME DIRECTORY, on the contrary work) .Whatever emulator i use it "sees" the "non-working"roms (their names are listed on the screen) but doesn't "see" the content of the zipped files (actually the error message doesn't say that there are MISSING or wrong roms but that all the roms in each zipped rom were NOT FOUND whereas in reality they are here). Why Mamedox, Mameox 128 plus don't succeed deleting this non-working roms as if they are "unreadable"? Thanks for help P.S.: before i try to change my xbox Hard disk i'd like to find ( with your qualified help) another solution if it exists.

I posted initially (I apologize for double post) my question in FBA-XXX 1.26 topic, but now I think that the problem is different. I become clear: I installed on my xbox hard disk ( I have an old 40 Gb hard disk that I got from an as old pc) various arcade emulators (FBA-xxx pro, mamedox 1.1, ....), I put the roms in the right place with the right bios but some roms (Blazing star in particular) that are Ok for Romcenter (using the right .dat file) aren't for the emulators. I noticed, after a huge number of tests, that each emulator recognizes the non-working roms (their names are listed on the screen) but it is unable to read their content (actually the error massage says that the emulator didn't find practically all the files composing the rom ). Besides Mamedox is unable to delete the non-working roms. Is it possible that the problem is my old 40 Gb hard disk? Please may someone help me? Thanks
