  1. Hhaha I just got it too! Reloaded does not have the nude Taki and Ivy. I had to download a different one, figure out how to use the hacking tools included (sacred lost files from long lost city of ninjahacker), extract it from the skins from that hacked SC2 ISO and inject them into the SC2 reloaded ISO. Then, in order to see all the skins, I went to GameFAQs and downloaded the SC2 save that unlocks everything.
  2. When I was 11 years old I had a dream that I had every single NES game ever made. I was so happy.. until I woke up. Now that dream is a reality. The Xbox 1 was and still is (due in part to 1emulation), the golden age of modding. No console has been more hackable, more versatile than a modified Xbox 1. This console has even outlasted it's own death, long after MS pulled the plug. A new release from team XBMC every other week.. A new XBMC skin every now and then.. Constantly updated python scripts.. An occasional new emulator or compilation from a 1emulation or xbox-scene member.. Have you done everything there is to do on a modified Xbox? I haven't. Some things on my list - Install newest GentooX - Install and play with DSL epsxe - Find Quake2, Decent, and Duke Nukem - Install latest StepmaniaX and get it working with latest content - Test the HD resolution options in all of the Xbox emulators - Test some sega CD games - Complete and properly configure my DaphneX collection - Revive ninjahacker.net (anyone have $25,000 I can borrow?) Some things I wish for: - Frets on fire for Xbox - More interesting Linux based applications or emulators released for DSL - A better xbe browser than linksbox - HTML and flash integration with XBMC - A branching out to new application ideas (not just media and emulators) Yeah, so the Xbox is only 733MHz PIII with 64MB RAM and Geforce3 graphics. But so much as been done with this hardware. I hope the Xbox community never loses it's steam. May we see new ideas, applications, and updates for years to come. It's a shame to see the beefy hardware in these new consoles go to waste. I hope one day, we get something just like the Xbox 1. Exactly like it - PC based, current technology, with onboard video and sound and a development environment open to Homebrew and anyone that want's to create things for it. Imagine an XBMC comfortable with HD. Emulation taken to a whole new level because of 3GHz+ speeds and current GPU technology. For now, we can only dream for that day and hope it becomes our reality.
  3. fumanchu - another good tip for PC to Xbox transfer is to convert your compilation to an ISO first using QWIX. Then upload/extract to the Xbox using QWIX. I had problems with xmugen crashing when trying to upload it raw via FTP program. QWIX method worked great though.
  4. I agree, it's ridiculously slow to load and grossly imbalanced. It's great for laughs though
  5. Same here That's why I've been compilation hunting - much easier. Xmugen doesn't like widescreen and custom xb partitions, such as an even split F and G. Aside from that, reliability depends on how much effort the person made into testing their compilation out. I prefer seanp2500s release, since it's polished and load times are bearable.
  6. Recently found this Xmugen compilation. There are other releases out there such as XTREME XMUGEN and seanp2500s Xmugen but this one is the largest I've ever seen.
  7. I remember when it took hours to hex edit DOAXVB before they came out with the patch. Too bad Ninjahackers got shutdown. Who actually read those four page warnings before each game anyway. I remember a nude Taki on that website. I hope SC2 reloaded has her on there. Best boobs in a video game hands down! The hunt begins
  8. And Mortal Kombat Project (MK Xmugen)
  9. That's probably it because he just told me he's running out of space on his 500GB hdd. How would I go about fixing the fat table? I know very little about modding and wouldn't know where to start (we both bought our Xbox's pre-moded). Not much you can do about that. I would: 1. Rebuild/Format with Slayers 2. FTP xbpartitioner to your e:\apps 3. Reboot and run xbpartitioner 4. Split F and G drive evenly (comes out to like 230/230 roughly) Should never make 400GB or above on 1 partition. I've seen people lose everything. It sucks.
  10. Thanks for this new release BP! It's people like you that keeps the X-Scene going. Thank you for all of your work
  11. Why doesn't the 2nd player controller work for Pac-Man, Asteroids, and Galaxian? In Centipede player 2 has to use the player 1 fire button. Please help. Thanks!
  12. Thoughts and additions welcome! Please don't ask where to get these. MamedoX Platinum MamedoX Platinum 2 MamedoX Arcades (Pending) BenderMameOX HSFII Edition MAMEoX128 Plus! 13. Looks great! I've been enjoying Plat1 for a while now and will be able to look at Plat2 this weekend and compare it with a mameox a-z load I have w/ necessary vmm files. I'm glad your still around BP and keeping things alive! Thanks for all your hard work!
  14. In regards to the analog buttons, full depress is not required to register actions that don't require analog sensitivity so it's really quite easy and very responsive. Same goes for your D-stick, there is no delay. In fact, D-sticks vary from cab to cab, game to game, console or stand-up. Having actually used it and having the opportunity to use many different D-sticks out there, QuasiCON has that part down no doubt about that. I actually have a Hori for Xbox1. The button layout and feel is great but the stick is limited in motion and it's range is in a small box instead of a circle so it's very hard to pull off moves in fighting games even though it does say "Fighting Stick" on it.
  15. For the XArcade/Xbox/MAMEs you got two Starts at the top. Coin (back), I configured them for the side buttons yes. If you go X-Arcade make sure you get the tank stick since the first X-Arcade has 1P and 2P too close together. QuasiCON/Xbox/MAMEs - Coin (back) is top blue and direct to the right of it is Start which is the orange button. Same thing on the 2P side. No pinball buttons on this.
  16. Nah just have it in my waiting area in a computer repair shop. But that's a good idea! Quasimoto actually designed a coin-op panel called the Timecade which stops the controller from working after a certain amount of time until you put more quarters in. Pretty cool, but on the other hand, it would really suck to be halfway through a level or boss and have the stick cut out on you. It would be nice just to tie a slot to one of the buttons but you're only getting functionality of that through MAME / doX / eoX / X.
  17. Both my Quasicon 1P and 2P joysticks click. 8 clicks in full rotation
  18. FPS on an arcade stick.. very challenging. That all I'll say about that I have a Quasicade 2 and that exact Quasicon stick. I've had it for about two years now and it's been beat up by hundreds of customers. I haven't had one problem with it. It's very durable and well built. I like the range of motion on the digital stick better on the Quasicon. On the X-Arcade it's a smaller circle so in fighting games you tend to jump when you don't mean to. In all fairness it could just be a matter of getting used to. For example GC mentioned he had problems doing a Hadoken on the QuasiCON, for me its the opposite - Range of movement is great on the Quasicon but do a hadoken on the X-Arcade and I sometimes jump instead. Like I said it could also be a matter of what you're used to. The Quasicon's pressure sensitive buttons are useful and nice to have. Especially if you're playing a racing game or something that requires it. Oh and XBMC fast forward and rewind sensitivity. You've got ALL the buttons here, even the analog stick clickers (there are separate buttons for those) which X-Arcade is missing. Think of all the Xbox emulator defaults configured to use this. You don't have to worry about crazy and repeated reconfiguration. The extra analog sticks are great for N64 emulation. I was just playing Starfox just now with full controls . Try that on an X-Arcade. Oh and it's nice being able to turn XBMC volume up and down with the right analog available. The button colors and layout were kind of too much for me at first but you get used to it. The colors help differentiate your buttons and the lit up legend helps tremendously too. On the X-Arcade, you've got less buttons but they're all black and no legend to tell you whats what. I see customers adapt pretty fast to the Quasicon and XBMC interface because of this. On the newer sticks they ditch 1 button used only for PS2. The main 6 buttons you'd use for fighting games are similar to a slanted 6 layout you see in neogeo or custom arcade sticks - it's just a reverse curve, not to big of a deal and easy to get used to. I am not fatigued at all when using these buttons. At first I was but all it takes is some breaking in and the buttons are not hard to push at all. I think the controller gets alot of flak because of all the extra stuff on it but it's really in a different class. The stick caters to wider range and is meant to be fully compatible with game consoles. And the mention of 'Handicap friendly' on their site is just a selling point. It's not like there's a big wheelchair symbol and handles on the thing If all you play are 2D fighters then maybe the stick isn't the absolute best choice for you. But if you want wider compatibility and a better d-stick (in my opinion) go with the Quasicon. The Quasicon 2P is gigantic though and is best experienced mounted to your custom arcade cabinet or a Quasicade. Finally in this forum I don't even have to tell you guys about Xbox Emulation. Xbox emus are built for Xbox1 controllers. The Quasicade translates nicely right into this. I have a Quasicon 1P (single stick) at home and man it's great being able to play on all of those emulators on a solid stick like this. It feels really genuine. My cousin was just at my place last week and was tripping out on the controller. He hasn't played killer instinct in over 8 years but was busting out ultra combos or whatever like he just played it yesterday. With this controller, a cabinet, and tricked out Xbox with all the trimmings you can't go wrong.
  19. That's okay as it is for me.... Have v1 and v2 loaded on the same XBox under different folders - but v1 now shows the extra games from v2 but without the preview screen grab. Is there any way for them to co-exist or is it pointless to keep hold of v1 now? This might help you: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=492942
  20. Nope, US. With MAMEdOX Platinum would the kids be able to get in and mess stuff up or are the options pretty much locked down? One of nieces is pretty young and will hit any button at any time, so I would move some buttons into less convenient spots if I have to. I have a Quasicade 2 Arcade system (www.quasimoto.com) w/ a modded Xbox in mine Current MAMEdOX Platinum still has the options button so yes they can accidentally change something (Still much more kid friendly than plain MAMEdOX though). I think BritneySPAIRS is working on a new version that removes the options Icon (but not sure about the functionality of the button)
  21. It's not a burner it's a reader: Samsung SH-D162C. Must be flashed with Kreon firmware. Some are already pre-flashed.
  22. I have mine in a cabinet too . Would love to see light support! Previous Plat interface is great. I don't think the analog clicks did anything in that version but I like having the favorites white/black option. I like how this new one doesn't have the options button anymore as it's already configured perfectly and it keeps people from messing things up. I like having the Y fast select visible so people know about it. BP- you've removed the icon or the feature all together? Also, moving the back button is cool and all but the "back" text is gone so it maybe possible someone could misinterpret it. Good to see your still working on this BP!
  23. If you've got the discs, edit your dvd2xbox.xml file and add the path to your emulator directory. Then dump it with dvd2xbox and move folders as necessary.
  24. Just found MAMEdOX Platinum on the groups! It's so.. so.. beautiful, so clean Before this I was using 3 loads on my Xbox HDD which consisted of: - 1 buggy MAME-X b6 that had memory errors and and a grip of crap/nonworkings - 1 MameoX that I tried to transfer from BAED DVD to HDD and it looks like it only got P-Z?? - 1 MamedoX 1.1, full load of everything and processed complete with nonworkings, crap and dupes Thanks to you BritneySPAIRS, I don't have to wade through my MamedoX mountain of turd. Probably would have taken me months! I'm debating weather I should wipe it all out and stick with Platinum or keep Platinum and my own d0X 1.1 together. It's a full collection of MAME roms I processed with the 1.1 dat. I noticed that it does not automatically remove the non working roms but instead just marks it as non working. I'm not a collector and just want to play the games. If I keep both I have to use the Platinum Installer disc (save renamer) right? BritneySPAIRS - in this Platinum release, can you give me a general idea of what is left out? From what I gather- dupes, non-workings, and mahjong- what else? What other Mame loads are out there? I keep hearing about Bender and HK - can someone explain these releases to me? Also talking to a few of you guys I keep hearing about Enhanced BAED. Can you give me a list of existing enhanced baed, what's on them, and what's special about them? A "best of" (emulator/rom load releases) list would be awesome. I think I may have already seen a thread on it so a simple link would be good too. Finally I just want to say thank you for all your hard work on this kick ass release!
