Kenshiro -- are you sure that you must quit the project? You have tremendous skills with programming drivers, which can be seen by what you have done with 1.29c so far. You are incredibly valuable to the emulation community. Please reconsider this. It does not matter if another coder is working on a project. Users are not interested in petty competitions -- we are all lucky to even have people like you working on this stuff. Now I finally understand why you haven't been here and did not respond to my email. I hope you change your mind, my friend. If there is no way to change your mind, then I hope you do one more release before you stop. Taking the NeoGeo roms out of the 'Others' folder and fixing the CPS2 720P support would make FBAxxx 1.29 the current best emulator on the Xbox, in my opinion. Please understand how disappointing this is. Many people do appreciate what you do. Your thread was very fun to be a part of.

This is HORRIBLE news. What a blow. So Kenshiro is leaving us high and dry? I don't understand why. His excellent coding skills were really showing with this emulator. I really wish he would do one more release at least.

BP, for ages you have been an incredibly valuable asset to the Xbox emulation community. Your work is appreciated. CoinOps Ignite (any latest version) is an EMU I will never be without.

I am trying to be patient for kenshiro to fix the CPS2 games VMM for 720P mode, but its getting very hard to be patient This emulator has so much potential. Kenshiro, keep up the great work.

If this was a 720P version, I'd grab it in a sec. I only have a monitor for my Xbox usage and it runs 720P primarily. Any chance you will release one? That happens on most emulators. Why is that? Does that happen when a real MVS machine loads a game? That happens on the actual MVS machines. It seems to las much longer on FBA though. I think it's just the bios booting up. So the loading green screen of puke is authentic to the NeoGeo arcade hardware? Then scratch that off the 'bad' list. We want our arcade emulation as accurate as can be, with green screens and all.

HD mode test update: My stats: Xbox v1.0 Xecuter 2.6 CE XBMC dashboard 1.29c 720P mode Musashi 68k cpu core The good: All encrypted NeoGeo sets will boot and run. On boot up for most games, there is a green screen with artifacts that shows up before the NeoGeo bios screen begins. But the games load fine and play great. Kenshiro it appears that you nailed the neogeo code, you sly dog you. I can use the Universe bios fine for each game. I can also go into the in-game menu on the encrypted sets of kof99.zip, kof2000.zip, samsh5sp.zip, mslug3.zip, and rotd.zip in this version on HD mode. Doing that would freeze 1.28 version every time you try it -- thanks for fixing that shiz. By the way Kenshiro, you must have improved some of the software filters, because the Scanlines75% filter looks heavenly on this emulator at 720P. I am spoiled. I also see more animation frames on most of the games for some reason. Did you improve the frame rates or something? I wish for my favorite games Vampire Savior, Marvel vs Capcom, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 to be fixed for 720P in the future. The bad: When exiting from a NeoGeo game and then selecting another -- this may hard freeze the emu, but it happens only twice after switching from encrypted parent sets to another set. I will test this more. These decrypted romsets will not show up in the game list: rotdd.zip mslug3d.zip kof99d.zip kof2000d.zip samsh5sd.zip sengok3d.zip I have already generated the .Dats in the emu itself and rescanned the roms. Maybe I need to rename these. I was also wondering what the issue is with aof1.zip and fatalfury1.zip because they don't boot. Kenshiro, you mentioned those as having issues in 720P. I was under the impression that my romset was incorrect. I did not mention the issues with the CPS2, Cave, Toaplan, or Psykio games because this is results for NeoGeo only right now. Kenshiro, if you have any questions or requests for me to test anything, please tell me. I am doing nothing for a couple days besides cleaning my house...... (and playing Metal Slug 3)

Whoa there, hold off the snow cavalry. I wish I could answer that but I never got anyone to tell me what the differences are either (I asked on other sites a while ago). I normally use the Musashi 68k CPU type. I think iq132 or kenshiro can tell us.

kenshiro is focused on NeoGeo at the moment, but he'll get CPS2 fixed. He doesn't have an HDTV, so he needs the people like us that do have one to help out by testing those 720P modes. I have noticed some significant improvements to what he has done so far in general. His coding skills are a blessing to have and this emulator is still alive because of him. Oh and iq132 too.

Hey again kenshiro and everybody. I've been testing the NeoGeo games in 720P mode lately (when I've had a chance). I'll let you know how things are going kenshiro. Work (and the GF) have been a pain in the ass, but we all know how important having a job is in this recession. I've got some time off to get on this so I'll keep at it and report back soon.

Damn it. I didn't see that kenshiro had sent out a newer build. I just updated it and now I need a new neogeo bios. SFIX.SFIX, lo.lo, and unibios 2.3 are missing. There must have been a change to the neogeo bios in the last few days. Just my luck. Don't suppose anyone can lend a hand with this. I've actually got a bit of time to test this thing for the moment.

Thanks man! I'm still alive -- just had a LOT of crap come up unexpectedly. Life can be a real pain at times but it can be real good too. For the 720P HD modes: so far I get crashing in these: Garou Mark of the Wolves KOF 99 KOF99d (KOF99 decrypted) KOF2000 KOF2000d (KOF 2000 decrypted) Metal Slug 3 mslug 3d (Metal Slug 3 decrypted) Esprade Guwange Gunbird Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Samurai Shodown 4 - few crashes -Almost ALL CPS2 games will go to a black screen. Some games will just bring up the "There is an error starting game" screen such as: Vampire Savior (vsavj, vsavu) Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Dimahoo etc. Any later released CPS2 games will go to the error screen, but the rest will boot to a black screen. I'm not even close to done testing this, so I'll be back with more input in a short while.

Go to Main menu --> Emulator Options ---> Show Debug and let me know how much RAM there's available... Edit : Neoryu check your email i sended you a test build Thanks! Gotta get up early for work in the morning, but I will be testing as soon as I'm off. I will post back with a list of each game that crashes (if any). If my romsets work with 720P, then no more 1.28 for me. Will post back some results.

I'm still waiting for a fix for that 720P support. Many CPS2 and NeoGeo games do not run with it enabled. Still using 1.28 version until you get it working Kenshiro. But so far the fixes you have are working well from what I have tested. Will post back if I find anything further that needs to be checked.

Guess I missed the boat. I have had a LOT of readjusting to do after I relocated, so I wasn't on here for a few weeks and my Xbox wasn't connected until like three days ago. I just want to say that now that I've upgraded from CoinOps Gold to Ignite, I am blown away. BritneysPAIRS, your work on the best version of Mame for the Xbox soars to new heights with every release. This emulator is badass and the features you have added are untouchable. Bug report: I discovered that a good bit of the CPS2 and NeoGeo roms do not run in 720P mode For example, Vampire Savior will not load and locks up the emulator completely with 720P enabled.
