So we've got a mixture of positive, but mostly negative feedback to the GameTap "Review" submitted by ShibaTheDog. It was posted on the Digg front page, but it appeared that it was pulled off for "unprofessionalism". We're currently working on a follow-up review (should be posted within the next week) by Gryph, the Co-Owner of 1Emulation. But first, a word from ShibaTheDog... "I was the one who wrote this review.... I read some of these comments and I think it's being misunderstood. This isn't meant to be taken entirely seriously. GameTap does indeed suck, but that doesn't mean I was being completely serious with my words." Either way, his review has caused much a stir. Here are the highlights of all the feedback he received. To read all the feedback, see the Digg post. To read the 1Emulation feedback and review from Shiba, Read the Review.

And all for one dollar Well, for the first month it's $1 (which you can cancel). Then it's $10/month after that.

Very passionate review. I always thought GameTap was garbage and this review confirms it.

If you do buy it, purchase it from this link: http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-x3e-71...-j-70-1upl.html so you can give 1Emulation a donation in the process.

Roxio is a software company... They're most famous product is Easy CD Creator. Do you have that software installed on your computer? http://www.roxio.com/ -

That is the most digusting story of any gaming console that I have ever heard of. This friend of yours must have one dirty house. I wouldn't want to look under his bed.

What I'd like is a new battery: bigger, better, badder.

It's been over 5 months since the last time I posted in my blog. My life has been busier than ever lately and spare time for 1Emulation has been dwindling. Over the years we have tried countless times to boost 1Emulation activity by bringing in interest creating devices. Some ideas worked wonderfuly, others failed instantaneously. Over the course of the next few weeks and months, I still will have barely any time to put forth into 1Emulation. What we need are people to create topics that interest others to promote discussion. Unfortunately must users on this site have gave up on creating new threads (topics). There are many who only reply to posts and only make a single thread once a year. The point is, we all must work together to keep this place alive. If you sit there and refresh the screeen, nothing will happen until YOU act. Second, I want to give a big thanks to both Mooney and Robert. They are the real dynamic duo who have kept 1Emulation news up to date as much as possible. If it wasn't for them, I guarentee 1Emulation would have stopped dead last year. The way I see it, there are only a few strings left that are keeping us off the floor. To add a few more strings before the others snap, I have designed a small list of plans for the beginning of 2007. - Review X-Arcade Tankstick - Review R4DS Flashcart for the Nintendo DS - Spring Radio Show - Revive IRC Channel (#1emu @ EFNET) .. Yes, I haven't gave up on this task yet. I also want to mention that I have seen several veteran 1Emulation members posting on other emulation sites. Many already have triple or four digit post counts which have shown they are already found new sites to reside in. Personally, I don't care what anyone does outside of 1Emulation. I just want everyone to know that this site is not dead yet. Show some passion, not compassion.

I always expected Microsoft to do something like this in the future. One thing is for sure, I'll be using Windows XP for a very long time. And if I absolutely need to use Windows Vista, I'll buy a cheap $300-400 computer just for it. The only person controlling my computer and my information will be me. If worst comes to worst, I'll migrate to Linux. Unfortunately, there will one day be a time when you'll be screwed either path you go. And that's the scary part of the future ... more and more of our rights will be taken away. Most of us won't even notice until it's all gone.

Differences between NDS and NDS lite
Alpha replied to Sybarite Paladin AxL's topic in DS Hacks [/ds]
I guess the first sentence is directed to K`dash ... otherwise I was going to say you're ruthless son of a biatch after Mooney clearly explained it to you. -
Did you try taking out the battery pack and/or memory stick and putting it back in? Sometimes it works.

Does time go faster while on the computer?
Alpha replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
LMAO!!! ... Just a stupid grammatical error. Thanks for the correction. -
For the past four and a half years I've been on the computer more than ever. This would be mainly because of the Internet and its impact on every individual in this world and of course 1Emulation. Many of my memories have been washed off with images of painstaking experiences in the intergalatic realm of my ViewSonic monitor. All in all, today I looked at the date and my jaw nearly dropped off that it is now the year 2007. Sometimes I wish I can go back to the year 2002 and tell myself to get the hell of the computer and explore life while actually having memories of each year. I'm not a computer addict, but I have become so accostumed to sitting my ass on this old chair that every few hours I have to check the updated news on the Internet. This is how the world has become --- people have BlackBerries ... BlueBerries... etc. to keep them updated at every second of their life. A new study has been found in Japan that families only spend 20 minutes with each other each day because they're all too preoccupied with technologies consequences (ex: iPods, GameBoy's, Computers, etc.). So has time fast forwarded for you?

Is there any way you can find out what dvd-rom drive an xbox 360
Alpha replied to SF2MJ's topic in XBOX 360 Hacks [/xbox360]
There really is no way to tell unless you connect the 360 to the power and hit the eject button to see which drive it is. However, if you're optimistic, try: http://www.360drives.com/ -
These last couple of years have been very stressful, especially on my physique. I'm planning to go back to the excercising gyms full time this year. I also would like to climb a few mountains and learn how to survive in the wilderness incase I get lost. Overall, I hope this year will be more of an adventure than another "hair ripping" experience. There are still many obstacles ahead of me and more individuals to face who would like to take their fist and pound me to an oblivion. I will say one thing that you all can relate to.... 1Emulation definitely needs a boost of life. It's heartrate is getting drastically slow with a breathing pattern that can only be characterized during deep sleep. Maybe you can give it a shock of life or contribute to a lethal injection? Now that is something to think about. My blog also needs a major update. "Most people have seen worse things in private than they pretend to be shocked at in public." - Edgar Watson Howe (1853 - 1937)

Well, it's now the year 2007. Time is flying, yet 1Emulation still has not died!?!?........................ ................. What in the blue hell is keeping this sucker alive? There are going to be a lot of new changes this year (ex: Windows Vista being pushed down our throats, another James Bond in the making, Indiana Jones and Die Hard to come back, and a bunch of other mumbo jumbo) ... let's just hope it turns out okay. Unfortunately, it seems that we will hit the 200,000 post mark in the year 2008. Be safe, be happy, be strong. P.S. Mayans say we die in 2012, therefore we have 5 years left to live. If you have not got down and dirty yet, this is your chance. (If you're 13 years of age, just browse the Hot Chicks thread, and that should fullfill your destiny) »» View *NEW* Board Rules for 2007

(THEORY) Hacking the Nintendo Wii to play backup copies
Alpha replied to Alpha's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
I found the story posted on wii.qj.net and digg.com recently. Both had a similar title as well. http://www.digg.com/gaming_news/Wii_Hacked_2 (QJ.NET) Xbox Linux team claims Wii already hacked Seeing as how this is my first news post in a very long time... spare me some shame as I am trying my best to keep up to date with the most current and correct news. But as you can see, I just need to modify my sources for better gaming news. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. EDIT: I've also fixed the thread title. -
IMHO, just another +1 death in Iraq.
