    AFROS 0.9.5-3 released

    Robert
    By Robert,

    Atari ST replacement OS

AFROS is a self-explanatory acronym: Atari FRee Operating System. It used to be distributed in the form of a harddisk image but now it's just a plain set of files creating preinstalled TOS compatible EmuTOS/FreeMiNT/fVDI/XaAES based operating system. The most exciting feature for me is its completely Free nature - all key components (EmuTOS, FreeMiNT, fVDI, XaAES and Teradesk) are completely free "as in Freedom" and can be redistributed under the GNU General Public License. This is the first time for Atari users to have a TOS/GEM compatible, complete, free and powerful operating system - from power-on all the way through to the multitasking GEM desktop with robust FreeMiNT kernel in the background and fast fVDI graphics on the screen. PSP System Software 3.52 Released

    BlackKnight
    By BlackKnight,

After the plethora of 3.51-based Custom Firmwares of late, Sony has released the official System Software version 3.52 (read: Firmware 3.52). The only apparent changes are 'security updates' and an incremental compatibility improvement to the PS1 driver.

Bear in mind new Sony firmwares are unhackable in the sense that updating to them will disallow use of all homebrew / ISOs / Custom Firmwares. Do not make the mistake of thinking that 3.51 and 3.52 are pathways to Custom Firmwares with those numbers in their names.

To install, place this EBOOT.PBP in ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ and run from the PSP's XMB.

    AGEMAME 0.117 released

    Robert
    By Robert,

    Fruit Machine emulator

    0.117

Numbering scheme changed for this release, this version equivalent to 0.45.

This release is now designed as a source overlay for MAME versions of equivalent

version number. This should allow a cleaner upgrade path in future, and reduces a number

of headaches due top supporting multiple versions. You must now compile using TARGET=age

    i.e "mingw32-make TARGET=age" rather than "mingw32-make -f makefile.age"

Scorpion 4 support has been removed as it never did anything, so The Game and Poleposition are

no longer supported. This may be returned to in the future.
