Alpha Posted July 25, 2004 Author Posted July 25, 2004 Sorry for all the technical difficulties that we were experiencing it.We have finally fixed the problem that appeared to be with ShoutCast.It seems that we did not set enough resources to shoutcast and it keptcrashing. As for the microphone problem with hearing Miskie, we are fixingthat as I post this and it will be fixed once the show is broadcasted again. refraction Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 miskie after reading the setup you had there im not suprised there was so much background noise!!! what quality are the cables/soundcards you were using? it would be much better if you could just get it all running from the one pc, i dont see why it couldnt handle doing shoutcast server, chat programs and recording all at once, plus it will cut down the noise as theres no extra cables! oh and im glad you turned off msn sounds, but can you turn windows sounds off as well? lol

That was the main reason. <_>

That was the main reason. well asadr got disconnected after his initial part of the interview and the noise was still there, so it couldnt have been him but i suggest miskie checks the quality of his cables, its amazing how much analogue cabling can lower the quality of sound.
miskie Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 There is no Analog Cable -- its all SPDIF and Fiber - The only analog cable goes out to a Makie 1202VLZ Pro and then to The Peavey Head and cabinets -- ANd those analog cables are all Monstercable products - I wont use anything else and for soundcards, the Lowest Quality one is A SBlive 5.1 Platinum the others are all MAudio Products.
miskie Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 The test record without the conference came out flawless in terms of quality -- I think alot of the noise also came from guests having their microphones up too high, or perhaps using the standard Low Quality PC microphone you can get for like 10 bucks from Walmart or smth.

As we have said, the current recorded version we have released is the Original, UNCUT. The CLEAN version which will include none of the above will be released very soon.

The file is only playable if your media player can be play.OGG files (Winamp can play this), expect the Final Cleaned Version with No MSN Sounds and other related material to be released soon.
