Rage against the Kermlin.

Sad to see something like this. But I recently watched a documentary on the 2002(?) Theater seige. These are well educated people that do these things. I feel sorry for the chechs because their so mistreated by the russians. But I feel sorry for the russians for the massive loss of child life.

Yeah, this was a horrible act of terrorism. There have been atleast 3 terrorist attacks and 2 of them major in the last month in Russia. It's a disturbing trend that the Chechen rebels are collaborating with Al Qaeda.

uh, I'm not familiar with russian history here.

Why would Chechen rebels are collaborate with Al Qaeda? :clapping:

Because al Qaeda see themselves as freedom fighters, fighting capitalist oppressors. They've staged attacks all around the world, not just in the US.

It's horrible. Our local newspaper show some of the pictures. And the children will be scarred forever, physically or mentally. This is sad. :(

I feel so sorry for the children, both those that survived and those that had their bright young lives cut short by fanatics...truly tragic. And what must the parents be feeling?

I hate to say it, but try looking at it from the terrorists point of view.

But to use kids as hostages???

Yeah, obviously this was a horrible, horrible thing. Terrorism is quickly replacing "war" and, while I never thought the end of "war" would be a bad thing, that's what it's looking like.

I'm curious, and curious is nowhere near strong enough a word, about what kinds of developments, military or otherwise, will help combat these attacks. Traditional armies, security forces, and even "special forces" seem to be dangerously innefficient, not really accounting for opponents who seem to have no concern for their own lives. Since it looks like fanatic nutjobs aren't in any short supply, someone's going to have to think outside the box on this one, and I hope they do it soon.

In other words, no one could ever say that the war is definitely over. Hmmm........ :clapping:

Bush said "we can't win the war on terrorism"
