LSD, after viewing the XBOX pictures, I can really tell the difference. The texture detail is really low. But it still looks good, so a lot of people will play it on XBOX.

Damn.....I can't just fork out several thousand dollars just to play Doom 3 ??!?!!?

Well, lets see.

 

I run a HP ZD7000 with

 

3.02 Ghz Pentium

1GB ram

GeForce FX5700 go 128RAM Dedicated

 

 

However, due to ZD7000's crappy cooling and the "go" suffix with my FX, it gets choppy anything over 800x600 with all the options set to high.

 

However, with some high-quality detail options off I can play at higher resolution.

 

 

Somehow, no matter how low my options are, shadows take a LOT.

 

Seriously, dynamic shadow each time my gun bursts? Not meant for "GO" series.

 

With a good Desktop, I'm sure my specs will not have much problem as I do.

 

I will need to do some tweaking cuz my driver is old and my comp needs to be cleaned out...

i Recently got this game, and i installed it on my sister's comp. And it looks damn nice on low. You don't know how nice, but it's damn nice. On my comp, it will run on high at 1024x768 once I get my AMD64 installed.

Right now, since my AMD64 isn't installed, I refuse to the install the game until I get my AMD64 installed. Which will be in a few hours depending on my friend who might come over for some deathmatch action.

 

Anyways, I played it on a 2.8GHz p4, 512 RAM and GeForce 4 mx440, and the video card is holding me back from playing it at higher resolutions.

 

My AMD64 system:

AMD64 3000+

1GB DDR400 OCZ PC2700 RAM

9800Pro 128MB

 

I've had the parts for a while now,I just need a friking new PSU, but, I will try and install it and hope my comp doesn't blow the fsck up.

For those illegal downloading bastards (looks around with shifty eyes),I know the idea is simple and stupid but I was wondering but when you install these games do they just dump the entire 1.5 gigs of game onto your computer and then your computer reads it as if you playing it on cd?

Does this make your computer work harder or is there sounds or movie files that are lost in compression?

are the files compressed? is that how they do it?

can you burn them to a cd and play the game like normal?
