James Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 i didn't like kof2k3 sprites.. wasn't it the same though?..but it somehow felt choppy? maybe its bc i sued kawaks dev.or the mame version.. Works good for me on Mame CPU speed is the reason
Daeval Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 With the other kofs, compared to this, all you had to do was choose characters that have the highest damage/easiest use potentional and beat the other team sensless.well you could do the same on kof 2003 , right? That would get boring on the long run, but this is just my opinion. This is still a (if not the most) valid "strategy" in 2K3. Boring, yes, but it's always been boring. The new switching system is far better than strikers (cool for cameos, not for gameplay), but I don't really see it as a necessary improvement over the old one-at-a-time style. The "leader-move" thing kind of bothers me, as most people just pick the guy with the highest damage/priority super first, but the mid-match switching is cool. I like it about even with the old 1-2-3 style, and I hope any console ports they release will have the option to choose, though it's unlikely.
Agozer Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 I like it about even with the old 1-2-3 style1-2-3 style?
Daeval Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 I like it about even with the old 1-2-3 style1-2-3 style? Meaning 1st char until he dies, then 2nd char until he dies, then 3rd char until the round is over. The way it was in the previous KOF games. IE, no switching.

Jjangthekid Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 yea.i think the old style kof was way better than the kof2003...however testing out new style is ok too

Sorry, I was too slow to realize what "best of 4 rounds" was reffering to...
Xeon Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 i thought its supposed to be "best-of-5" since round 5 will be the last round of the game and players try to win 3 rounds.

koneki Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 It would be different playing in the arcade than if you were to play on an emulator right? I played the KOF 2003 in the arcade and the graphics look better. I'm sure you might feel different about it if you play in the arcade. Is 2003 the last KOF, or is there going to be one last 2004 installment?
Wizard Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Evil Bump 2007 might be the end of KOF. Depending on where the series is by then, it can still change.
Gryph Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 This isn't an evil bump. The last post was only 11 days ago and this was still on the first page.
