Then there are these others which I just remembered that are good: Homeworld, Alpha Centauri, Civilization 2 (3 looks good but 2 is better).

Command & Conquer Red Alert 1 & 2, 2 was my favorite in the series.Starcraft (But we need SC 2)Warcraft yeah, you know... Strategy RPG's though, I could list a few of those...starting with DISGAEA!!!!!
