Jjangthekid, I think that with the comp you have, even if you upgraded it with the very latest and most expensive hardware, the difference in perf would be so small you wouldn't even notice it. IMHO hardware reviewers tend to be a little off-reality when they say things like: "Wow! This new graphic card is great! You can have 10,000 fps instead of 9,000 with the previous one! Everyone upgrade now!"

Yeah, they get all those things for free. I wish I was a hardware reviewer...

I've never been a huge fan of these fancy cases. I like my old school Antec case just fine. Beige is where its at.

Neg, Costume made cases that are on sale on ebay > that.

I hate pre-modded cases, takes out the fun :)

I wonder what happens when they damage a sample or when it gets "borrowed" by someone...

btw Nice case, Jitx. I wouldn't get it though. I'd be too afraid to suddenly hear it say : "Luke, I am your father!"

The front Light fades back and forth like kit form nightrider. Im seriiusly thinking of getting one, sanding it down, and painting it some EVA 1 colors from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Key board and mouse? And most importantly RAM!

Oh yeah, anybody interested in buying a 512mb pc-133 non-ecc 168pin sd-ram stick? I bought one but it didn't work for me, I think it might have not been compatible with my pc since the max ram it could hold was 512mb, im selling it for about $50 with shipping if you act fast and reply.

This is sort of what it looks like:

youch...how'd that happen?

If you're not an audiophile then you don't need that Audigy 2. Just make sure you get a sound card that has 5.1 support and you should be fine.

I checked out that case and it looks pretty fancy. For a budget of <$1000 I'd go for a plain one that's hella cheap.

As Cominus said you didn't include RAM, but what processor are you getting? I'm sure you'll just use your old keyboard and mouse.

What about a hard drive? Are you going to use an old one too?
