iq_132 Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 You mean when will they officially be added?2002 games will be added 2005 (possibly 2006), 2003 games 2006 (possibly 2007)
Prican25 Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 fba team is already planning to add the 2001 games soon (they've been added to official versions of fba-xxx for xbox which gogo got permission from jan of the fba team)
Weirdy Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 won't the 2002 sets be on nebula at the end of the year?
iq_132 Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 won't the 2002 sets be on nebula at the end of the year? That all depends on El Semi. (Razoola for Kawaks) If he decides to stay with a 2 year rule, or move to the 3 year rule to stay compatible with the MAME team.

Like MAME? from what i understand of mame it s not in years.if it's still in the arcades it will not be emulated.as far as i know mame has a Four year rule now.and in some case if many people keep asking about new games they will delay it even longer. Ash_crimson Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 do these year rules still have to be in place now since neo-geo isnt getting anything new after the samurai shodown game... surely they could drop it to something like 6 months to a year? i agree with not releasing them on emulators right away but 2-3years for a neo-geo game is a bit drastic in my opinion.
Prican25 Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 personaly, i think they should wait til it hits a console and then let it go on mame and what not
Ash_crimson Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 not a bad idea since decent games ussually go to consoles pretty quick as long as you only mean in one country... uk for example doesnt get kof or ss games
Wizard Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 Technically by law (At least in the U.S.A.) Once a game has entered reproduction (As in remanufactured) for any system (including the original system it was on), s concidered an illegal rom. Since KOF2k2 is out of both Xbox and PS2, SVCC being on both as well, the roms are illegal. Even with the new content provided on the PS2/Xbox versions. It is still considered the same game under this U.S. law.
