haha found em! and a bunch of other cool stuff like the psx ascii fighting pads at a site shibathedog linked to in the PSX forum. www.gamechoice.com.hk

I could go broke looking at this stuff.

game stop said that they were trying to get rib of all dc stuff, they dont even take in accesories any more, like game pads and stuff. Damn those bastards

damn those bastards to hell!!!

WHY would you still carry PSX stuff when its even OLDER than the DC?

asked the guy that works there and he said that it was because it was too old, which raises the above question, also, he said the larger stores will still carry it all (theres a big one by me that even has Atari games)

I guess because dc died out quickly and there was no "next gen" system to keep it running like the ps2 being compatable with ps1 products... B) bastards, but Electronics butique still kind of supports DC

I work at gamestop, and yeah we got rid of all our DC stuff, but we do still take games and complete systems in. As for the reason, its prolly because the only thing that sold was complete systems. Never sold any games or anything else, so we just got rid of em. PSX we still take because A.) they still sell and B.) they are backwards compatible with the PS2, hence the reason why A exists :)

I work at Gamestop as well, and the reason for us getting rid of all the 1st/2nd gen game and systems is because they don't generate the kind of revenue that warrants how much space they take up in our stores.

As far as Dreamcast is concerned, it's mostly because of the fact that 99% of the games we get traded in are scratched up. And if you ever followed the tecnical aspects of the DC, pretty much any minor scratches render the DC games useless, due to the GD-ROM format (smaller wrtie spacing with less error correction), compared to the PSX which adheres to the redbook standards for error correction and format. I've seen some PSX games that I thought could just not possibly work (totally scratched up), and surprise!, they did. Refurbishing the DC discs does not help, either.

No worries, I spent YEARS collecting virtually EVERY SINGLE DC game online from the first day the DC began to have a "scene". So I'm content. =)
