that sucks hearing about online. Why can't they figure it out by now. people want good connections especially for ranked matches. you should be able to kick or back out of a ranked match before it starts. I figured the competition would be shit low kicks over and over again. there just aren't enough new school gamers who know how to play fighting games. 1000s of nubs and then a wide gap to the 100s of pros with no one in between.

Inky, you might want to try online. According to some source, online is REGION LOCKED. So, if you are having a US region version of the game, you will play with those of the same region only. Not sure how true is that. If you can try and get into ranked match, let see what is the connection and who the player is from.

Id try it but my box is too far from the router. I havent yet bought a wireless doohicky for the 360.

Dude there were mostly PS3 guys picking up Tekken when I was there last night. I don't get it. Sure 360 is mainstream, but damned if 360 doesn't have it beat out. I was talking to one guy and he says there are at least 12 Tekken pro's he knows of in our local area. "pros" Like tournament guys. I have to seriously tackle this game. Im so freaking weak, Its like starting from scratch!

I have noticed some new moves and removal of others. Well... You know what I mean. Like Brian for instance. They changed up one of my favorite air juggles. I've been seeing alot of this but since its been so long, I cant quite put my finger on what is different from time to time. Alls I know, Is im going to play religiously now, regardless of good or bad online connections. I'll just have to find locals if its bad.

Tekken... we meet again!

I have yet to get my hands on this game and it's driving me crazy.

Only thing that bothers me so far is the fact that it seems like it plays to similar to the previous tekkens.

Well, some of the air juggles are changed. And some of the moves have different notations and properties now. It is a good time to relearn.

In term of gameplay, other than online, I really have no complaints, even for Scenario Campaign. SC is not that bothersome, can be completed easily, and short enough to be a minor distraction only. The meat is the single player mode. I really treat this as a training ground to get better so that I can go arcades and kick asses

Learning Bob now, he has lots of fun moves ;p

I just can't get over how goofy Lars looks.

I don't even want to waste my hard earned 'g' on that dragonball reject.

Gentlemen, welcome to Footsies 6: Dash Canceling & Juggling edition.

YeAh I played about 10 player matches.

Lag + long ass juggles = not fun.

I'm done. Dragon age is coming out, fuck this noise.

Look like this is going to be another KOFXII online. Is it a trend to get shafted by Japanese companies nowadays for your hard earned money?

Anyway, almost completed SC, have reached Kazuya stage. As Inky said, SC is getting better in later stages. Also, have been playing with local friends daily, it has been fun with no lag. I still avoid ranked matches for now until they confirmed it has been fixed.

So far VF5 is a lot better. Not just because of the graphics but everything overall. Don't get me wrong, Tekken 6 is a great game and I am totally addicted to it, but it kinda looks and feels like T5 on steroids.

When it comes to a package as a whole, T6 is a better home console port. You get more bang for your buck for sure. Tekken's game play is fun and addictive but its the same fight engine we've been using since the original T5. I was disappointed with VF5's lack of gameplay upgrade but Tekken's is ridiculous. Tekken is not a bad game by any means, I just think it's engine has kind of stagnated the same way VF's has sadly. Tekken's gameplay seems a bit more dated though.

Hopefully the long rumored VF vs Tekken will come out soon and breathe new life into each series.

Tekken's fine at the moment. It's Sega who has to be worried. With constantly shafting fans with no console ports of VF5 or VF5R, shafting arcade owners to rent equipment instead of buying it, barely any advertisement at all, and most important: no community support, VF will die a very, very, very quiet death. Namco has been doing the right things into getting everyone hyped for Tekken (except for their online support, which still sucks shit. GGL is gonna have a field day with entrees). Take pages from Capcom with all their SF4 support (National Tournaments in different regions and co-sponsoring them, backing the K-SF4 League, actually listening to feedback for balance (and to a lesser degree, who will be in SSF4), actually admitting that online needs a lot more work especially since HDrmx has a better functionality, but not netcode).

You know what, I do hope Tekken vs Viruta Fighter does happen. But Sega will probably ask for a nice 40% cut in the profits if Namco makes it because we all know how much SNK made with the CVS titles.
