Rag Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 I just recently got a Dreamcast for my b-day. This system is so awesome is it not??? This is like arcade at home, its great Of course the first game and only game I have right now is Marvel vs Capcom 2. I love how the games are so cheap too But I'm sad because the stores in our area are getting rid of all their dreamcast stuff by Christmas. I gotta start a giant collection soon or I'll have to buy them online. Controllers only cost $3.99 so I'll be buying a few more
Max Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 (edited) Congrats man. I bought mine for $25 (you heard me) and am pretty happy with it. My Berserk is gonna arrive soon (got shipped yesterday) and I can't wait to see what happened after the anime. Edited November 26, 2003 by Max
Weirdy Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 But I'm sad because the stores in our area are getting rid of all their dreamcast stuff by Christmas. I gotta start a giant collection soon or I'll have to buy them online.thats where Direct Connect comes in. Just buy a boot disk for your dreamcast, join us in emulation hubs, download dreamcast games, burn em, and play em on your dreamcast.
solidius23 Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 i dont need a boot disc for my dc games i burned and i have like 225 of em
Weirdy Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 you need a boot disk for jap and european games, no?

Rag Posted November 26, 2003 Author Posted November 26, 2003 Yea, mine was $25 as well so no Mod chip is necessary for Dreamcast?
Weirdy Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 thats right. Get direct connect and join us at any of the affiliated emulation hubs
Rag Posted November 26, 2003 Author Posted November 26, 2003 thanks. I just bought Shenmue, but I'm not gonne play it for a while bcuz I'm working on MvsC 2
Alpha Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 Yea, mine was $25 as well so no Mod chip is necessary for Dreamcast?I bought mine for $30 @ eBGames.. it was a great deal. Also of course it was used, but who cares.
The TeamPlayer Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 I bought mine for 200 BUCKS w00t!!! But it is still my favorite console. Until SNKP hits the PS2 with all there upcoming releases. Now all I need is some SF3, SFAlpha, and some PowerStone and PS2 is the new champion.
Rag Posted November 27, 2003 Author Posted November 27, 2003 Poor Sega, they shouldn't have gone out of business People love Dreamcast I think there timing with releasing it was bad, but its a great company. Great games.
Max Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 (edited) Mine was used too but it works flawlessly and thats all that matters . Rag: you don't need a chip but you do need a boot disc (free and easy to find on the net) if the game you downloaded isn't a self-boot, if it is then just use it like you would an original. And personally I believe that people will remember the DC for a far far longer time than the current consoles, b/c of all its uses and the kind of quality of games on it. Hey dudes, is it true that using backups/non-original disks screws up your GD-Rom lense? Edited November 27, 2003 by Max
Theunage Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 thats right. Get direct connect and join us at any of the affiliated emulation hubs neat! i've bought a dc three days ago and i'm still looking for some places to get the isos (finally got discjuggler working ).. lemme check out the dc-hubs then.
