Lucandrake Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Gears of War hit 2 million about a month after launch..... it should hit that same number in 3 weeks.

Japanese don't dig into overhyped games, they like good games. Not saying that MGS4 is a bad game.

OverlordMondo Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Hey, Tales of Symphonia is a good third party title for the Wii. Just throwing that out there.
Devia Eleven Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Is the RRoD no longer present in present models of Xbox 360s? If not, how long do you think I will have to wait until the RRoD, becomes obsolete?
L.S.D Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 Is the RRoD no longer present in present models of Xbox 360s? If not, how long do you think I will have to wait until the RRoD, becomes obsolete?I have my Xbox elite since last December. I look for those with HDMI output as those are the one with newer motherboard. Playing it regularly, sometimes up to 4-5 hrs on weekends, 2-3 hrs on weekdays. Not as extensive as BK's usage but never face RROD. Of course, i keep it well-ventilated.
BlackKnight Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Retail shelf 360s have been RRoD free for a long time.
OverlordMondo Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Even if you did get a RRoD, Microsoft is very prompt about fixing it for you. We had no problem sending ours in and getting it back.
SuperSoaka420 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 i think the wii is the best. it tells people what the 21st century is about. you know how many videos ive seen with girls and their titties and booty bouncing on that wii fit? its the greatest invention made by the japanese. its unfortunate that japanese women dont have as big boobs as the blacks and whites. or do they? maybe i need to get some more of them. but id still hit it. the 360 is good crap too. ive been playing so much halo that im seeing halos. gears of war is even better. i play with t-smallz and we go all night. ps3 is fun but i only like blu-ray. is there going to be blu-ray porn? whats takin them so long? does sony not want to allow it? ive been doing some reading.
GodPigeon Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 The Wii is the most depressing console of all time
SuperSoaka420 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) The Wii is the most depressing console of all timeput a disc in it. are you depressed don? Edited July 12, 2008 by SuperSoaka420
GodPigeon Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 The Wii is the most depressing console of all timeput a disc in it. are you depressed don?NO sir, im quite happy now that the Wii is off. That system is unplayable the 52 inch screen i was using. Wii sports was fun to 20 minutes. Red steel was seriously one of the worst games ive ever played. SSX Blur had the worst control scheme for any game ive played so far. That system belongs in the 20th century. It hasnt done anything new. Nintendo understands that Mario no matter what he's doing, is going to sell like Lemonade in the Projects on a hot a$$ day. The Wii is a Gamecube with a Wand. Waste of $250. Epic wont even create games for it because they feel no progression in that system. Most Wii owners have their wii in the Closet
BlackKnight Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 The Wii is the most depressing console of all timeYou are absolutely correct. It markets a device to a large non-gaming audience, gets a large number of sales, and pretends that means it is what gaming is all about. It is like that Goosebumps series from the 90s breaking sales records and then preaching to all other novelists that it is how a story should be written. Illogical and arrogant. I'm glad Wii software attach rates and sales are pitiful, else that wretched machine might have could have changed gaming as we know it into light hufflepuff rubbish.

I'm glad Wii software attach rates and sales are pitiful, else that wretched machine might have could have changed gaming as we know it into light hufflepuff rubbish. I wouldn't say the Wii's software attach rates are THAT bad; aren't the PS3's software attach rates even worse? What about those who worry that the Xbox 360's software attach rates are TOO high? While traditionally a growth in attach rate is considered to be a positive, the report suggests that such an increase could mean that even though Xbox 360 software continues to enjoy brisk sales, the hardware itself has not seen similar increases in consumer demand. In fact, it concludes: “We believe the unusually high attach rate on the 360 is a sign of an increasingly unhealthy console growth rate, and should be worrisome to publishers and investors.” The analysts further explain their hypothesis by offering that a significant portion of the Xbox 360 consoles currently in circulation were purchased by hard-core gamers, who, by definition, purchase a lot of games.
