Tynvar Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) Fighting the block yellow monster in Mega Man without the beam cheat. You talking bout MegaMan3? Or later X-series? I'm talking about the first Mega Man game. The Rock Monster or Yellow Devil. I managed to kill him once in my entire life after tons of tries, I didn't know the cheat Edited April 25, 2008 by Tynvar
Wishdokta Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) I'm talking about the first Mega Man game. The Rock Monster or Yellow Devil. Ok, I guess you mean him:http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=EJgSZ0p6dMg Was re-appearing in MM3 @final stages. He's ok the time you got the pattern right. But first time it's too much to handle properly .(Here http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=__vTGx0V4cA. I loved the boss music.) //edit: ah, now a got ya. You'r right, his eye was moving . Yeah I managed to defeat the one in Mega Man 3 a few times. It's the one in Mega Man that's darn impossible even when you learn the pattern. It's a lot harder than what that guy made it seem like, he's a pro. Edited April 25, 2008 by Tynvar
028 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 oh man, the toughest boss for me i would have to say was the last guy in shinobi for the ps2. i can beat that game straight through easy till i get to him. such a good game but that end boss is absurd. i still haven't beaten it to this day, lol maybe now i will try it again.
L.S.D Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Minerva, the goddess boss from CC:FVII. I am doing 99999 damage on every hit, with my HP at 99999, but each of her attacks cause me to lose the enitre lifebar and i have to keep on re-raising myself. P And her strongest move, Judgement Arrow negates all the positive statuses you have including re-raise. Damn painful to beat
Tynvar Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 If ryder would post he would say that some of the raid bosses in World of Warcraft.
solidius23 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 just a random one would be ultimate weapon from FFVII the battle was impossible.
Wishdokta Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 just a random one would be ultimate weapon from FFVII the battle was impossible. I thought "Ultimate" Weapon was the boss you had to kill? I can remember Emerald Weapon as (for me without the tricks) unbeatable.
Fatal Rose Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 The first Bowser in the first Mario game for NES.
OverlordMondo Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 If ryder would post he would say that some of the raid bosses in World of Warcraft. All of the raid bosses in WoW are an absolute joke. If you actually lost a fight because you did something wrong, cancel your account and go play something more in tune with your skills, like Dr. Sudoku on Very Easy. I can understand maybe screwing up on something every once in a while, but those fights are 90% equipment and 10% getting 25 people together at the same time. Anyway, for a while I couldn't think of any really hard bosses, as my memory is sorta bad. But the Mega Man thing reminded me of the green devil from MMX5. Same thing, but green, and in X5. Always caused me problems. I think he had a few more abilities by that point, too, but the hard part for me was still dodging the little globby pieces of his body.

Skythe Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I can't remember it's name but it was this huge evil tree thing in City of Villians that you had to kill in order to be able to respec your character around the level 40 range. The problem was that you can only defeat it if you had a party of 3 people max not 6. Which makes it hard as hell. You had to destroy all the tendrils first before it's eye would open up. The problem with if you had a party of 4+ was that the tendrils respawned too quickly that you couldn't get too the eye. And the eye was a b!tch it's self. Instant kills with just it's normal attacks.
OverlordMondo Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 City of Villains/Heroes is the only MMO I've found thus far that actually includes things that are difficult for reasons other than your level or equipment. It gets some bonus points for that.

I can remember Emerald Weapon as (for me without the tricks) unbeatable.Diamond Weapon and Ultima Weapon are very easy compared to Emerald and Ruby. And yeah, you have to defeat Diamond and Ultima in order to advance the story. Ultima and Omega in FFVIII, FFX, and FFX-2 are a completely different matter, however.
