BobRedthorp Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 I’ll see what I can do, I’m off into town next week, but as I said it was limited stock, plus I had to ask for it. I’ll get back to you.
Emiran Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 sorry this is off topic but, i think you guys should start an irc chan, or if one already exists please give me the name of it and the server. and about the utopia cd, will that let me play any burned game?
BobRedthorp Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Hmmm... The answer to your question is yes and no, I personally only have one burned game (Ikaruga) and that is a self boot, now because that is self boot you dont really need the Utopia boot CD but it will actually boot it (obviously). As far as I am aware, Utopia cant boot burned games. I beleive the way to do this would be to use something like 'Dc Hakker' which is intended for launching software through the Dreamcast.
Shibathedog Posted December 28, 2003 Author Posted December 28, 2003 nope, i boot burned games with Utopia Boot disc all the time, but i like DC_HAKKAR better because it boots more games faster you dont NEED anything to play burned games actually, some of them boot by themselves, their called Self-Boot, if its NOT self boot i try the following DC-IEDC_HAKKARUtopia Boot Disc 1.3Gameshark LiteAction Replay CDXGameshark...umm...the latest one, with that bigass memory card (i rarely use this one hehe) I have an assload of DC games so i need them all hehe If none of those work chances are you burned it wrong, also try it at least 10 times, sometimes your DC decides to be stubborn but after you get it to boot at least once it doesnt seem to have problems with it anymore...weird....i should recalibrate my GD-ROM again i think.....
Cominus Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 lol, the dc like to get stubborn..it is alive
Shibathedog Posted December 30, 2003 Author Posted December 30, 2003 yeah does any one remember those ads? i have them all memorized/on my computer Sega Dreamcast... It's Thinking
BobRedthorp Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 ...if its NOT self boot i try the following DC-IEDC_HAKKARUtopia Boot Disc 1.3Gameshark LiteAction Replay CDX...You mentioned Utopia Boot Disc 1.3, is this a new one?
Shibathedog Posted January 5, 2004 Author Posted January 5, 2004 its hard to come across 1.0 was the original one (Duh)1.2 is the original one with VGA support1.3 is a slightly modifyed one with VGA support 1.3 is kind of hard to find, but if anyone needs it send me a PM or post and ill get it hosted somewhere, or you can try Classic Sega Hub and Romster Hub
BobRedthorp Posted January 25, 2004 Posted January 25, 2004 @Shibathedog I went into that store to see if I could get you a copy of DC-X, but I'm afraid they have none left. If I do get one I'll let you know!
Shibathedog Posted February 21, 2004 Author Posted February 21, 2004 alright thanks alot! (sorry for the delayed response)
zouzou_rocket Posted February 28, 2004 Posted February 28, 2004 (edited) Ok for all the people intrested in DC-X.I think i have found where u can get it for 14.90 dollars. Go to the link: www.lik-sang.com Hope that will make me popular, zouzou_rocket Edited February 28, 2004 by zouzou_rocket
Shibathedog Posted February 28, 2004 Author Posted February 28, 2004 hehe, yeah, ill have to buy it I guess my main idea was to get it without paying, theres something about paying for something that isnt really a game, for the same price as a game, that seems stupid, but i guess there is no choice
wetsprocket Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 If you put "import Dreamcast" into eBay you should find a guy selling something called "Nipponese Nightmare". I just got it and it is actually the DC Import Enabler program so if you want something on a GD-ROM that will play imports (but not burns) then this is the way to go. It really works. No I am NOT the guy selling it
cOcO! Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I've just uploaded an image of DC-X Game Import Adapter (yes, the commercial version) READ THE NFO CAREFULLY BEFORE BURNING -Links removed- password: http://snesorama.us - Upped by cOcO! Enjoy dudes
The-Ice-Man Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Pretty sure those links will get taken down if it's commercial software. I use the Xploder cheat disc to get imports running on my Dreamcast. A real one, which I bought years ago.
