Devia Eleven Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 It seems as though the Wii has the most solid marketing plan. Their primary audience is a little bit more broad, it attracts all ages of gamers, from kids to adults. Without the Virtual Console or the Backwards compatibility capabilities, the Wii isn't much to speak of. There aren't enough exclusive multiplayer games, and the Wi-Fi connection is something I'm pretty iffy about. All they need is a more games, then the Wii should be fine.
Agozer Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 All new games cost that much? Most brand-spanking new games here cost €49.90 ($69 PS2 titles) up to €69.90 ($97 X360 and PS3 titles) Someone said that $50 is too much? EDIT: 200MYR is around USD57

EDIT: 200MYR is around USD57Ok, when you put it that way, it seems their along the lines of Canadia pricing for the most part, except we don't exceed 79.99. When you put it that way, Agozer & euro land seem to get the short end of the stick compared to ther est of us.
Agozer Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Yes well, I've come to the point where I think that everything That's Scandinavian economy for you. EDIT: Fixed.
Reaper man Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Yes well, I've come to the point where I think that everything >= €40 ($55) is surprisingly cheap. That's Scandinavian economy for you. uhm, don't you mean <= €40? I hope you don't program ;p
BlackKnight Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 No, he's just showing how messed up their economy is~ Haha jk- it's the same in Australia. If something is $49AUD I consider it a bargain when that is still more than $39USD.

ken_cinder Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Yeah, that is the normal price for a new game. I don't know the cost of other things where you live, but 5% of your salary doesn't sound bank breaking. That said, cheaper the better, right? I think he means like 5% of his YEARLY salary, which IS alot. That would be like me paying something like $2500 for a game, my TV didn't even cost that much!
L.S.D Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 5% of my monthly salary. granted it is not much if i don't have to pay for my house loan and car loan installment in addition to the cell phone bills, utility bills, gas, money for food etc etc.

That still would be like $210 for me, too much for a game.
2eyez Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I still have high hopes for the PS3. I remember I bought Diablo II for $65 USD when it came out for the ps1.
BlackKnight Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I still have high hopes for the PS3. I remember I bought Diablo II for $65 USD when it came out for the ps1. Diablo II... $65... PS1... ?? Anyway I'm just waiting for Nintendo to stop selling the Wii and to come out and say 'haha the jokes on you millions of dancing, flailing, unco-ordinated morons- here's our real next gen console.'

Also, why would they? The Wii is making bank right now. Finally, what's so bad about it? I mean it's a good system with an innovative controller. the awsome thing about it is that developers can make games that would be impossible to implement on the 3shitty or the PS3. What they are doing is genius, so there is no way that that would happen.
