Obviously you were inspired by my very own tribute to Disoblige song that I did some time back...

I must say, your voice isn't as annoying at all. If done right, you could be a good host for the Radio show...go for it!!

Haha, yes the only reason I attempted the song in the first place was because I had the jingle for the disoblige song in my head the entire day (I don't know why so don't ask).

Yeah, too bad it's gotta be 100% emulation related and the copyright laws interfence in normal broadcasting like an actual radio station that forces various american to pay royalties.

Move the god damn radio server to canada.

We don't have someone to host it there. Isn't your server still broken?

My servers been down for a good 2 years now after it got hacked into (We half-assed the security).

My connection isn't deadicated to it, which is the problem.

If I was to host the show, it would end all of the radio shows. My maturity can only hold so long on audio before it bursts into a pile of childhood nonsense.

Kinda like a baby crapping its pants. <_<

Just out of curiosity, what amount of bandwidth is needed for the radio show?

The mircles of google.

For reference;

21 listeners @ 24 kbps

15 listeners @ 32 kbps

10 listeners @ 48 kbps

9 listeners @ 56 kbps

7 listeners @ 64 kbps

6 listeners@ 80 kbps

5 listeners @ 96 kbps

Q. How many listeners can I have?

A. This will depend on the bandwidth at which you choose to encode your streams. To determine how many concurrent listeners you can have, divide 504 by your desired stream rate. For example, if you stream at 24 kbps, you can have a maximum of 21 concurrent listeners. From a practical standpoint, the higher the stream rate, the fewer that can actually connect. Anything over 24 kbps will eliminate about half of the dialup listeners from connecting. Anything over 32 kbps will eliminate all dialup users. The stream rate you use is your choice.

Do the math. It varies on your connection. I know for a fact on mine, at 32kbps MP3, I can only take 10-12 listeners, if I go any higher, it will lag. (Trial and error ftw!)

Using 48 kbps as my deseried bitrate for example

x (this would be your connection) divided y (deseried bitrate) equals n (your total listeners)

Ooooooorrrrrr

Knowing a T1 line can take 12 listeners @ 128kbps... think of the rest!

Well, if I know z = x * y, and I don't know the values of x and of y, I can't know the value of z.

I guess my question wasn't clear.

Let me rephrase it then. How many users are usually connected during a 1emu show? And what's the sound quality for a typical live 1emu radio show (not necessarily the same as the downloadable version)?

Is the server currently used for shows usually full (and so, rejecting potential listeners) during these shows?
