There is one problem with Symantec Corporate and that's the startup scan bug. If you notice whenever you boot into Windows it takes forever for stuff to be up to speed, it's because of that. There is a registry fix but I can't remember it.

not having that bug, so i guess the version i have is prepatched or something.

 

everything loads normally really.

 

it's up to you to set it up to scan on boot/start up or not..

I had it right the other way with Symantec and Nod 32. At my neighbours new laptop with Norton preinstalled and the update contract running out, i deinstalled Norton and installed Nod32.

Nod32 wasnt on the machine for more than 3 mins and found spyware, Norton didnt bother.

But Norton is like AOL, once installed your system is a mess.

So go with nod32, the only scanner gotten the vbulletin 100% award 18 times in a row.

Norton is for Pussies.

I have to agree with Madman about Norton. Don't know about NOD32 since I haven't used it.

Hey i just checked one of my laptops and i do have Norton Coporate that my school put on there a long time ago and they have a huge subscription plan, anyone know how i can extract the serial or w/e so i can post?

 

im going to put it on the rest of my computers too after im done burning all these linux CDs and installing that

I have to agree with Madman about Norton. Don't know about NOD32 since I haven't used it.

i rated norton last.

there's a huge difference in performance from norton to symantec.

 

symantec found spyware AD AWARE se pro didn't find.

I've got McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 7 (free from work with unlimited automatic updates). It has done a good job and I can't complain (since it is free).
