Horray for a future where everyone is dead.

I agree; a new international arms race is NOT a good thing! :)

Honestly. Anyone who supports this crap has given a new definition to misanthropy. A new way to murder; a new way to control; a new way to frighten.

Great. This is just what we need: Another reason to lose all hope for mankind.

Now that there are lasers, I want super heros to exist. Now. Why? So I can join The Avengers.

But you miss the point. If we don't invest in these sort of technologies someone else will. And don't bother spouting any facts or figures about other countries' military spending. Yeah, there a plenty of other countries with much smaller military budgets, but they are banking on countries like the US to come to their aid if their time of need ever comes. Sure, I'll agree that we [the US] get involved where we don't need to too often, but don't think for a second that investing in military technologies is a waste. Sure, it may be sad that the things have to be this way, but they do. Don't be so naive.

I'd rather delay the inevitable then speed up the process.

Hey, if we continue to pollute the planet like we do, it's inevitable that it's going to die. Since it's going to die anyways, let's just spray as much aerosol into the air and destroy the ozone now! Might as well, it's going to dissapear anyways!

But not preparing yourself may indeed be speeding up the process. That's exactly where you miss the point. And your pollution analogy doesn't fit this situation at all. Preparation as a means of deterrence isn't analogous at all to your example.

Don't you guys know what a flocking defensive weapon is?

Sure they do. Take a look at the Australians. It'll be said that they were smart enough to buy American weapons. Can't go wrong there. I also can't help but find it somewhat bewildering that the destroyers they bought, the absolute low end of the Union's active naval power, are going to be the the most powerful ships of the Royal Australian Navy. But those F-35s are top notch. Overall a good buy 'cause they'll be set for the next 20-30 years.

So you see, once they're operational, our allies won't be able to buy these blasters fast enough, nor will they take a breath before their tirade on what ignorant, demonic imperialists we are. But we'll sweep it off, 'cause they're cute and we still love 'em.

can`t wait to see X-MEN show up  :)

Why? Do you want to see Magneto show up too? You know you can't have the X-men without the super-villains, right?

And then will have The Hulk and Wendigo fighting all over Canada and finally have Alpha Flight! WEEEE

You're right. We should kill them. But we won't, because the damn ass protestors would have to grab sticks, run outside whilst shoving them up their asses, and stand on street corners like prostitutes.

I forgot, Bush is really out to conquer the world, I mean, he's only INVADED two countries out of how many now? You're all right, war is wrong. We never should have disposed of Hitler, and nuclear technology never really did anything other than create a massive social disaster.

Technology is the future; embrace it you pussies.

The Hulk and Alpha Flight make sense because they're Marvel superheroes. Why would Wendigo fit in with those Marvel characters? :P
